Lets be honest about it in normal times he'd have probably been able to get away with the lies for much longer, He's a chancer a liar not and leader and current circumstances with Covid and Brexit have exposed for what he is. In normal political times, they probably wouldn’t have been elected in the first place but brexit/Corbyn ensured they did. What we are seeing now on a daily basis would make a so called banana republic blush with embarrassment.

I’ve seen corruption, I lived in South Africa for several years but this lot are taking the piss right now and should be ousted.

The problem, of course, is not Johnson. The problem is the 80 seat majority. They can chuck him in the ditch tomorrow but the Nasty Party will still be in power. When the government only had a 10/12 majority any by election was a problem and the we the public might have some sort of say; now we don’t. We have this same shower of crap for the next 3 years; just think about that.

He is dead correct isn’t he. Just think how our democracy/Parliament is being perceived by the general population. They’re all at it, corruption, bit of a lad!! We even hear that people won’t vote because it’s a waste of time. These episodes have dragged our Parliament through the sh1te. The mother of all Parliaments? Don’t make me laugh.

A lot of what he said was reliant on perception, his affair with Currie four years earlier would have been irrelevant to that because it wasn't known by the public.

The affair with Currie was before he was PM and not publicly confirmed until she published her diaries in 2002.

We can infer that few people within Westminster knew at the time as it would have made his position as Chief Whip untenable.

There is also nothing in the Nolan principles about marital affairs.

Imagine they’d just said, yeah we had a party. We’d had 9 months straight of making stressful, difficult decisions and we needed to blow off some steam.

Absolutely not. Their MO is to ignore any question and deflect onto something else.

My LP source Is saying the numbers are there for a leadership challenge. However MPs are having difficulty in finding someone who will be as electable as Boris. Which they all agree is his strong point. He can win elections which is all Tories want to do. However the damage Johnson has done, not only to the party, but to politics in general is a major concern.
