Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

My LP source Is saying the numbers are there for a leadership challenge. However MPs are having difficulty in finding someone who will be as electable as Boris. Which they all agree is his strong point. He can win elections which is all Tories want to do. However the damage Johnson has done, not only to the party, but to politics in general is a major concern.

There is no one credible to step in. The Govt front bench is so light on talent it could float. The front runner with the living dead that is the party faithful is Truss, and she's as big an idiot as Johnson.

Johnson going is all well and good, but it won't improve anything.

This was inevitable following the brexit purity cleanse prior to the last election. Boris kicked out some of the best and demanded others stay silent as he fed BS to the nation.

They now have a very poor bench. If Liz Truss is in serious contention then they have problems. And if they expect the mildly racist working class brexiteer vote to hold up for Sunak or Javid two of the better candidates then again they are in trouble. Boris's clown act is often ridiculed but it cuts through to a lot of people, the dressing up and silly hair acts as a massive distraction to the fact he is a total twat that operates in pure self interest and without any regard for the truth or wider good.

In the absence of another clown they are fecked.

The pork markets would be happy with Truss though.

It's actually quite depressing that this self self self bloke and party are holding on to power comfortably and a sad indictment of the lamentable opposition.

My Econ professor told me the number one job of a politician is to win elections. His second job is to win elections and his third job is to win elections.

Would be amazed that there isnt some carve up already in agreement that Johnson will one day move aside to let Gove have his turn for a bit. The two of them have engaged in some seriously shady shenanigans and deals down the years

They will go with Sunak. Let’s all hope that Labour are a credible and electable alternative when it matters the most next time out.

Govey out cheerleading for him in the media today. You could well be onto something.

He's also dangerous for Starmer as he's could appeal to the Tories he's trying to court.

Doubt it. Too short and won't appeal to the Tory rank and file who will go for Truss. The new ‘Maggie’, looks good in a tank, Iron Lady Mk III (they scrapped the Mk II), will promise to invade France etc, etc.

I suspect Gove will get the job. He has that bad boy edge that he cultivated with his trip to that techno club and the cocaine use. He’s seen that the morons buy into Johnson and is banking on a similar chemistry. I think he fancies himself to appeal to the floating working class tories who won them the last election. They could well tug their forelocks at his posh accent and squidgy face although he hasn’t got Brexit any more to wave as his carrot.

He may well have a joker in his pack as well.
