So, so, SO predictable from Blue Hat Sanders supporters -- the moment AOC steps out of line and dares disagree with Sanders, the knives are out. After all, what can a young woman with street cred know compared to an old self-aggrandizing crank who's gorged himself at the public trough for 40 years and has Washington's worst reputation for being unable to work well with others?

How is she doing politically? I saw the original Netflix doc and thought she was very impressive. Have tried to keep up to date with her career but you seldom get the real perspective from across the Atlantic.

I don’t get the hate she’s receiving from people at the moment.
She’s creating a new movement within the Democratic Party and the funniest thing about it is she’s using corporate donations to fund it and they aren’t any the wiser! I do wonder if any of the haters are disgusted that’s it’s a young Latino woman leading the charge and not an old white man.

Is the latter point based on absolutely anything?
It’s far more likely she’s mentioned socialism and policies that are social democratic, in the US they likely view her as a communist, wrongly of course.
Over here she’s aligned herself and endorsed the most unpopular Labour leader since 1935, it’s probably put some people off this side of the Atlantic.

Non-white, Democrat, a bit gobby, associated with other outspoken non-whites.
An easy target to attack.
