Cowards. If "support" means they sit on their hands for fear of being thrown into jail for a spell, then yes.

I feel sorry for Russians because it doesn't really matter what view they have, they either support Putin or they don't but it doesn't really matter. Putin doesn't rely on polls, elections or similar because that would only come to matter if the people can vote him out or organise against him but that is impossible because Russia is a KGB/GRU/FSB police state. It happened in Romania with Ceausescu and Gaddafi in Libyia.
Im convinced that most Russians don't really care or are they just cowards.

I agree, but the west could make it more painful for Putin and powerful Russians especially . Expel them all back to their own country, ban travel to all western democracies. Impound all Russian assets until they leave Ukraine. Imo there would be a very good chance Putins friends would turn on him and he would be ousted.I feel sorry for Russians because it doesn't really matter what view they have, they either support Putin or they don't but it doesn't really matter. If the Russians are cowards then you have to ask what they could actually do? If this happened in the UK then what would we do? We have the rule of law and elections, Russia has none of these things. They do technically have elections but the result is totally irrelevant because it's fixed. You could protest but protests against Putin are illegal and any person deemed to organise an opposition faces forever in prison or death.
The only true powerful opposition to Putin are the ogliarchs who own and control everything plus his allies in the neighbouring states such as Belarus or Chechnya. The problem with this is Putin takes care of those people and they have no reason to oppose him but when they do the end result is obvious, just look at Prigozhin.
We can look at what's happened in Ukraine but the world has turned a blind eye to Putin for decades. Where else can a guy change his own country's constitution to enable him to essentially stay in power forever? It's because he's an ex-KGB guy, imagine the dirt that he has on people and imagine the iron fist rule he has behind him to get those changes done.
Putin is essentially the mafia boss of the largest syndicate of mafia bosses in the world, and that mafia syndicate itself is basically a major nuclear armed country.
Tucker Clarkson thinks it is because shopping trolleys that grip to an escalator is better than living in a democracy.Such a great place.

The west has already heavily sanctioned the ogliarchs. Either way the ogliarchs aren't doing business in the west anymore. The vast majority of ogliarchs are now enjoying themselves flowing money into the likes of Turkey, Dubai and the Middle East where things get complicated and western sanctions don't really reach.I agree, but the west could make it more painful for Putin and powerful Russians especially . Beautiful country Morocco. Had a culture shock when I went but gradually embraced it.The most tragic thing abot that is they have them everywhere but Tucker is so dumb, ignorant & poorly travelled despite all his money and access. I just got back from Morocco and they had the trolley escalators at most Carrefours.
No support means they support it.
I don't know why people find this so hard to comprehend. The majority of Russians are pro-Putin.
In much the same way as North Koreans support Kim Jong Un.No support means they support it.
