Alexis Mac Allister

I thought third party ownership was not allowed in the PL.

Juniors may have a sell on clause.
When I looked into Brighton agreement with Argentinos Juniors from 2019 a couple of reports in Argentina state his club retained 15% of his economic rights. A further report only stated 10%.

I can’t see Brighton letting him go for such a low fee and then get less of that fee to pay the rest to his former club. Maybe Liverpool are only declaring how much Brighton get.

It is but they need it to be. They have a lot of talent to replace and apparently not that big a pot to do it with if reports are to be believed. They need to sell the likes of Keita for some fancy money. They need a Barcelona / Coutinho level deal to refresh that squad.
Keita is out of contract isn't he?

Dippers telling all their people £35m will be bullshit
They like to make out they don’t spend any money
Mac Allister's reported price in the media is the reverse of Darwin Noonez transfer fee, it just keeps dropping every day.

35/40 is top price of true for him. We are allegedly in for a midfielder who too may cost 30/35 with less upside than McAllister.

Maybe he didnt want to rotate as we know Pep likes to do to keep our squad fresh late into the season...

He will now have to get ready to be flogged to death by the german cheerleader and end up on the knackers yard
