I didn't want him anyway with him being cup tied.
Which is why we are still in there . If he's gone to that lot then why the silence from City ? No , there's more to this than meet the eye. This is very much still on imo .
Good points made. But no agent is going to come in and demand to a club that they get £400,000 a week. They will demand an overall financial package and it will be up to the club to decide how they pay it. Whether that is in easy to achieve bonuses or a bigger signing on fee, that will all add to the overall deal. The rumoured KDB signing on fee for his new deal is staggering and we already own him!
I think that the weekly wage is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to players finances. It also wouldn't be difficult to pay any player the package Sanchez wants whilst getting them to accept a wage of around £200,000 a week.
If he was 24 years old I agree. But at 29, with Kun being 29 too, that jigsaw wouldn’t be lasting long before some more pieces needed putting in.Been a disaster. He could have been the missing piece in the jigsaw. Hope we can turn the season round.
he's not cup tied for CLI didn't want him anyway with him being cup tied.
The problem with this stance is it doesn't have a very high success rate does it? We tried it with Hazard, we tried it with RVP, we tried it with Alves. And they all went for the money. If the rumours are true and we add Sanchez to this list then the club really needs to have a think about their "the player will choose us over money" strategy.
Never trust a cleaner. !It often is, so fingers crossed! If it’s any encouragement, spoke to someone from the media who was at the club briefing today and he said his gut feeling was still that City would get him.
Left out of squad to play Bournemouth. We lose at Anfield and unveiled as a United player tonight. Can see it.
But what about the away leg in Bristol?he's not cup tied for CL
Plenty, who use a reasoned response rather that foaming at the mouth. Is there anyone on the forum you haven’t insulted, disparaged, or just been a mad arse toward?
This is vital and the transfer should hang on this. But what about the away leg in Bristol?
As you say, a lot but, I would hope we would be paying that sort of money for someone with a long term future rather than 2-3 years.Wonder how much it will cost to sign a player of Sanchez's ability in the summer. A lot I would imagine.

Maybe. Personally I suspect the reason we've gone cold on this is more to do with the goal posts shifting in terms of his wage than giving a relatively small bit extra to Arsenal or a fee to his agent. If that is the case then I assume there is a good reason why the club don't feel we can give him what he wants.
Yeah , I still think we should have signed VVD. We would have been sorted at the back for years.
