Hazard and RVP did, lets hope Sanchez doesn't.

Plenty of people will try to take the moral high-ground of not paying a lot but he would have made us much better so as fans, who cares about the money.
 
Are we not the top scorers? Have we not got a bigger spread of goals from more players in the squad? We scored 3 today with none by our striker.

These are facts people need to remember when saying we need a striker urgently.

We did not fail to win today because we did not have a striker. Our defence had a collective off ten minutes.

An extra striker is not the priority at the moment the way we play as a collective attack.

He loses possession often and is always trying little flicks over the top of the defence. He doesn't get into the box as often as he used to do. He still is a grafter and would offer options, but I expect would want to start every game. I just don't think he is at that level any more were that would be the case.

Personally I'm still not convinced that Sterling is top notch< I know he has scored lots of important goals but I think when he really needs to come to the party like today he lacks real belief and bottle in himself. I hope Bernado still comes good but he hasn't looked as dynamic as I expected.

It.s unbelievable how good we have been this season when we have had Mangala CD and Delph at LB. Aguero hasn't been at his best either.

Sanchez would add to our squad if he is really happy it is a squad game.

At the Rags I believe he replaces one of Martial or Wonder kid which I think would slow their attacks down and stunt there development.

In summary not disappointed either way as I think he only slightly improves either team.

I don't think he's fit. last couple of games for Arsenal he's been out on his feet by half time. I think he maybe better for Utd than he would have been for City as his passing is still a key asset and Utd give the ball away a lot when they try and build the play up from midfield. It depends a bit on how smart Mourinho is when it comes to using him. If he just plays his as a wide forward and thinks that he can play how he did 12 months ago it will go badly, but if he uses him as a midfielder then I think that might work and help them get more quality possession.

+1. Our fans (& the media) criticised the club when we did this shortly after the take over. We are looking to build - not go for short term EXPENSIVE fixes. The annoying thing for me is that the media will not direct the same criticism at the rags for this deal as they did when we did the same.

Also some guy on twitter has a picture of the " U.S. Man Utd store " with a red united shirt with Alexis and the no. 7 on .

Only thing is - the picture is fake . I checked the official USA united store.It has no red shirt wth Alexis on it . Watch out for twitter liars

Always wanted Sanchez, but not for the price of the teams future success.

Come May we'll have a cup or two and cash to buy REAL investment that will keep us fresh for the next 5 to 10 years, scary stuff!!

Haunt in which way ?

Yes the rag fans will gloat saying he chose them blah blah, but just point to the table. He isnt giving them a 15pt swing this seasonin my book. We will recruit effectively in the summer. All teams have to strengthen, but this is a desperation signing from united hence why they have offered a greater package to Sanchez

Similar in fact to the pogba deal, they have to remsin seen eating at the top table and that means throwing cash around in vast sums. Iagine now that united vome calling fir any player they are going to have to pay through the nose

Why would signing sanchez damage the teams future success?

Quite! This one man would not transform our team either. Plus - rags are second in the league & still an attractive proposition. I don’t feel worried about saying this because we are still better. But money + prospects = signing of contract

Matt Law saying Aubam is joining a new club tomorrow, probably Arsenal. Good signing for them. Alexis news tomorrow...

Of course, he would. But not so that we should destabilise all of our pay structure and policy over agents just to add a new toy.

Fans live in a fantasy world. The club has to live in a world that involves decisions effecting many things other than what would be nice to have to brag to mates.

My issue is mate that whenever we have our feet on our opponents throats we let them off and it bites us on the arse. Big clubs need to be ruthless and get deals done.

Exactly. Would have been good to have him but we don’t need to pay the obscene amount the rags have HAD to offer to get him.
