I thought he was filming his interview at the swamp last night?

Seems like there’s some sort of delay doesn’t there.

Reds scuppered by a Mickey?

Maybe Arsenal are that shit that he’s refusing to be part of the deal. Meaning Arsenal miss out on the bigger offer? There’s no way they’ll match the wages he’s on, so Utd would need to pay the difference.

So let me get this right...

Utd are offering £30-35M plus Mickey (worth another £35M?) plus £18m pa in wages plus £10M to the agent plus half of Mickey’s wages (another £6M pa) ..?

All for a player who’s 29, out of contract in months and has been obviously coming to City for months.

It’s almost like they’re desperate to beat us, at something/anything...

And yet, they still just might be snubbed in the end?

I love that we don’t seem to be budging. We made an offer that has already been accepted once by Sanchez so let’s just sit tight.

I don’t see how we lose big in any of the scenarios that are left.

Its probably not quite that bad for them band we know Manure rarely get full value for the money they splash out but getting rid of Zlaten and Mickey should cover his wage bill ar least.

I'm very surprised at the amount they're willing to pay for this guy. I suppose if they get Mkhitaryan's salary off the books they can pay Sanchez the wages he is looking for. No doubt Mkhitaryan to Sanchez is an upgrade so not much lost there. However, I'm honestly surprised Wenger is willing to take Mkhitaryan and Mkhitaryan is willing to go to Arsenal. Doesn't look a good fit for either of them. That's what makes this whole deal unbelievable for me.

At the end of the day fellas if Sanchez wants to come to us he can and he will. If he wants the cash he’ll go to the rags. If he does the latter he was never the player I wanted anyway so I will not lose an ounce of sleep over this.

I honestly think that if he goes to the rags he will do a good job for them. However, he will also be the marquee signing sticking plaster, because that is all the rags look to now.

I think their strategy is three fold
1, they want to appease Mourinho and that might well be so at the end of season review he can't claim he wasn't supported
2, they want to reestablish themselves as the club players look to as the destination of choice (paying 30% more then us will do that)
3, they want to burn our fingers, we put a take it or leave it offer on the table to Arsenal and they left it, which clearly wasn't the outcome we were looking for!

It is possible that this is taking longer than expected because Arsenal are trying to negotiate a contract with Mkhitaryan.

Could be as simple as they may just be waiting for Arsenal to confirm whambamayang before they will agree to sell. Knowing their track record on signings you could not blame them.

Reckon it’s done- announced tomorrow after tonight’s match...
The thing is all we’re hearing is what the media, the rags and arsenal are saying. It’s not in any of their hands at all. Only Sanchez knows what he’s gonna do, it’s completely in his court

Arsenal have some say in the matter however and they haven't played ball with us on this one and its part of why they have to rid themselves of the current ownership and Wenger should step aside.

If he really wants away then Man Utd is an option for him if we won't meet Arsenals demands otherwise he stays with them and leaves for free.

If the united deal involves Micky going the other way I can't see it happening and I'm surprised it was ever considered to be close if that was the case as it's a no go if the player isn't interested. Maybe this is just uniteds/Arsenal's way of backing out of a deal they never really wanted. If not, the only way they'll get him is pay the fee Arse want together with astronomical wages.

Or...

Is Woodward concerned that ManU might finish out of the top four and is doing whatever it takes to sign Sanchez?

But the rags isn’t a significant upgrade on arsenal! So if it’s money he’ll surely wait 6 months and go free agent. It makes no sense to go to the rags. They’ll play a more defensive system than arsenal too so he’ll score less
