Seriously though there was a rumour that they had contacted his agent and he told them that he's only interested in City, make of that what you will.

What I make of it is that the scum guttersnipes aka "journalists" couldn't bear to imagine that their beloved club is not at the races. i.e. it was pure fabrication.
