Alexis Sanchez

Sterling, Sane and Jesus will all have a dip in form at some point this season, also Aguero is prone to tweaking a hamstring and so we really could do with Sanchez to give us options, we are only 25% of the way through the season.

If Sanchez does come here in January, I think he will be used in rotation with King David. I don't believe at this point in his career, Sanchez will be used predominantly as a winger. Imo I think Pep will use him more as a creative AM, with the ability to run through a packed defence and score, a bit more direct than king David.

To play as well has he has, to get to his level and play with the intensity he does you have to be giving absolutely everything and be right on the cusp of boiling over. I think most/all players can only give that for so long and be let down by the cowards around them before theyve had enough. We've seen it with De bruyne lately - little signs of almost boiling over, but that's just cos hes playing at his absolute maximum, competing with everything he's got. I reckon if you put Kev or anyone similar in a situation to what Sanchez has had you'd see the attitude dip and/or the form drop. It's very different to the attitude shown by the likes of Ozil and Nasri for example - poncey little wimps with no bottle who should be avoided.

On top of that he's got the promised land - Pep and our team playing the way we are, waiting right here for him with open arms. Hurry up Alexis lad, if you need a lift up gimme a shout
Spot on, my thoughts exactly.

9 games in dec,31st and then the 2nd jan,we will have injuries we will have knacked players a lot of whom are very young and several used to a winter break,if you don't think we should add a world class player in jan then you have lost your mind mate

He can play in the CL

Players may have played in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League, but only one of them can have played in the UEFA Europa League group stage. Players cannot represent two clubs in the UEFA Champions League from the group stage onwards.
Had no clue about this. Very interesting! I'm still not convinced we make the move until the summer but this certainly improves the chances.

Are you solely judging Sanchez on 6 weeks of football & no pre-season?
Yes, and that for Chile. In the Premier League 2017/18 it's now 1 goal in 8 games, and 2 assists. If this continues into January, you might change your mind, and vice versa.

Even if he's playing as he is at present? We have 5 forwards that's enough. Buying a 6th forward when we can't even give the 5th enough game time to get him up to speed does not make sense for me.

Summer transfer for me unless we pick up an injury in forward position before Feb
Why when if things go as they should, we'll have 5 of the best forwards in the country plus Foden and Diaz on the verge of joining them. We should be able to cherry pick the best young forwards in the game if we feel we need a player in that position. A Sanchez-like player like when he was at Udinese. Another Jesus or Sane. Those are the types of players we should be after. Sanchez is backward looking.
