Cheers guys. I'm not even too fussed about him going, & i wish him all the best, he deserves more. He's not been the same player for us this season, & the resignation that he's going has been a long time coming. I'd even let Man Utd have Ozil if he isn't signing a new deal. Will almost be a relief to see the saga's ending, or that could be a sign of the current apathy feeling.
Our problems run a lot deeper than losing 1 or 2 of our best players.

Giving Ozil to Utd would be your best chance of overtaking them.

Arsenal have to consider the long run here, I’d say there is a good chance Wenger leaves in the summer (jumped or pushed doesn’t matter) and they’d want/need to give the incoming manager a significant war chest, getting a fee now for Sanchez would add to the funds available later.

As previously mentioned, they have looked like clowns since the summer over this one. The moment Chile didnt qualify for the World Cup the game was up. It was the hope they had clung to that he would have to play out of his skin in a world cup year, with the idea of firing them to their fourth place trophy, and then just maybe he would be back in love with the club again. I think the game is up now. Players want him out, fans want him out and he wants out. Its a terrible bit of management from Arsene, a once great manager that is continually shitting on his legacy and leaving a sour taste for a lot of fans. It is a real shame.

Wenger has been stupid and stubborn, so has only himself to blame imo, and doesn't deserve any sympathy .

I think he's probably willing to trade a chance of a league cup medal for a far greater chance of a league title + a shot at the Champions League and FA Cup.

Are you kidding? Luiz would undoubtedly kick the shit out of him leaving him sidelined for 9 months with a CLI.. thus f^cking up any chance of us us getting him at all,

Imagine him, Pogba, Lukaku, Ibrahimobich, Fellaini, etc or any combination of such, 'chasing' the ball down, when they lose it & 'tracking back'.
