So far being the operative word. Do you not think we are misfiring a little up front and that competition for Sane isn't a bad thing? what about any additional injuries we might pick up?
I'd be more concerned with injuries in defence. That has a bigger potential to upset our season.

At 29 I think there are better players City could go for.

Even though I don’t want you to go in for them because we’re linked with them, Is Lemar or Fekir not better alternatives?

He’d do well in your side no doubt, but for how many years? 1/2?

It was an official brief from the club, seemed absolutely adamant too.

I don't believe it was transfer posturing, they didn't need to say anything at all.

Really think it was/is as simple as City felt with five months left of his contract, they begrudge paying anything, knowing the player only wants us.

Things happen, Jesus injury happened, Pep maybe thinks we have gone off the boil a little since the original stance was shared.

In your opinion, Will the board back him if that’s the case tolm?

Even if it means going in for a cheaper, not quite so talented, individual to carry us though to when Sanchez eventually arrives in the summer.

Raz struggled up top on his own, last night, & clearly needs someone to play alongside him, who will take the weight, & occupy the CH, while Raz flits in and around feeding of the scraps

I dont think signing Sanchez is predicated as him being direct competition for either Kun or Jesus. He will be excellent competition for Sane imo, but the brucie bonus is that he can play across the whole front line equally effective

Spot on, can cover/rotate for Sane, Aguero/Jesus and Raheem. Also, he is a top drawer signing who is high in quality AND will work his cock off every week.

It will be a boost in quality for the squad, and his energy levels will be infectious.

Hope it goes through, could be the difference between a great and legendary season.

Both terribly overrated.

If Sanchez was in the middle of a contract and Arsenal wanted £80m for him, I would agree with you. His age is almost irrelevant with his contract situation though, £20-30m for Alexis Sanchez is an absolute steal in the current market. For context, we are probably going to pay more for JFE this window. You just don't turn down an opportunity like this.

No because they aren't anywhere near as good. You can by the now. City aren't in the position to wait. It's all about now and sanchez is high quailty afterall.
