Alexis Sanchez

The transfer fee is largely irrelevant. It only comes into play if Sanchez is willing to go somewhere other than City. Liverpool could offer the £140m that they have received for Coutinho and yes, Arsenal would accept in an instant. Means nothing though if Sanchez responds with "I am only going to City". Arsenal will then be forced to accept our bid, whatever that may be or hold on to him and lose him for nothing in the summer.

All spot on but he wants out now and can he wait till summer, I’m not sure he can. Yes he wants city but that doesn’t mean he will get it. The fans have turned on him and that must not only hurt him but piss him right off.

Arsenal have shown they are prepared to loose him for nothing in summer I just can’t see him staying beyond jan and Liverpool offer a viable and only option if he wants out now. I would be amazed if they are not in for him.

Either way it will surely be settled before Monday.

The more United are linked to this (to appease the 600m) the more they will look like they've been out done when a player chooses City for less money.

Times have changed.

When this goes through, could be a pivotal moment

The reality is that this is the last big move of his career. So far he has won next to fuck all (one La Liga title and a few cups), if the flappers really believe he's going to waste his last move going sideways to teams who aren't going to win anything significant, then there is no helping them.

I don't expect any significant developments until deadline day, and I don't expect it to end in anything but anticlimax. He'll probably turn up in July and we'll never know if having him would've helped us win more this season.

He likes being the star man of the attack which he won't be here but would instantly be at Utd. He might actually get some assists from his mindless floaty chips with Lukaku on the end of them rather than Ozil/Lacazette. Also a much better move for Arsenal if they get a good player like Mkhitaryan in return.

What makes you say that? He's the star man of Arsenal's attack because all their other attackers are shite. He gets frustrated when he's taken off because he knows that his replacement is significantly worse than him.
