Surely though we already knew the figures if the transfer was agreed back in June?

Agreed, unless they changed when United got involved.

Can anybody recall that post and what its source was?

It was on this theme and looked like City were saying he either comes to us because he wants to come for footballing reasons at what we agreed or he goes where they are desperate enough to pay that much.

It also implied that we would not be back Summer if he was asking that much and would put the money saved to get someone else then.

You seem to know all the facts and you’re saying I couldn’t possibly know them haha.

We could pay the £35m they want, wouldn’t that be a start?

Surely if we’ve agreed terms and pay the asking price, he’s ours?

As for Alves we should have got him signed, that’s my whole point.

I said i don't know for certain in my first paragraph.

We pay what we feel he's worth especially as we can get him fore fuck all in the summer.

What did you want Txixi to do? hold him hostage until he did? He gave his word then went back on it, it's no big deal but shows the man he is.

If Alexis wants us then Arsenal can't do shit but accept our price or let him leave for free in July. If Alexis' heads turned by the Rags then again its not going to matter how much we pay Arsenal.

You lose some, you win some and in Txiki's case he has done a great job so far.

Exactly, people just want scapegoats for when things don't happen quickly enough.

Anyway i'm out of here, transfer forum is fucking insane 99.9% of the time, home for the needy!!

Ask him.

All I know is it's a 3 year assessment period where we have to balance the books. So every deal, adds up together.

Ffp still exists & City still have to balance the books. This is a fact, in spite of what the thick headed, ill informed fucking morons in the media keep saying about us having 'unlimited funds' it's horseshit.

For any other enquiries re the subject, look it up on the net.
Off on your tangent there buddy; I never claimed FFP isn't a thing in general.

A very important paragraph from Samuel Luckhurst's latest article -

It is understood Sanchez's representative Fernando Felicevich is demanding a £300,000 weekly wage and a signing-on fee of £25m if the Arsenal No.7 moves this month. Should he leave on a free six months later, the desired reward is said to be £35m - and that is without accounting for agent's fees. Some senior City insiders are appalled by the demands and adamant the club should not 'rush' into a 'desperate' deal just because United have come into the reckoning.
Still doesn't really add up when you consider he knocked back what was presumably huge money from PSG in the summer to play for Pep but if it is true then I'd be quite happy for us to let someone else give in to those demands should we decide against it.

I know im right and when it become clear that a deal has been done, regardless of club i will guarantee they report it themselves and the ITALIA bit is dropped immediately.
Sky Italia report on a rumour, Sky UK report it as fact citing Sky Italia as a source, it's a trick they've used for years. I bet if you checked the original article there's lots of "it's believed" "no agreement at this stage" and "sources say".

The way you’re going on I would say you’re acting needy.

Interesting - just wonder if we are starting to look elsewhere or just a game of bluff if true of course...

Great stuff if true. Well done City.
