Honestly don't see the problem. If the figures being bandied around are in any way accurate, no way will City pay that. It's not just about what it costs for him, the moment they agree to it there'll be a queue of players lining up asking for a pay rise - why on earth would they risk that kind of disruption?
If he wants to come, there's the deal. If he doesn't, then he is welcome to go somewhere where they will. Either way, City are content. All players have a value, if far more than that is being demanded, then not only will it not happen, it shouldn't.
