Thank fuck that's only your 5th post.
Are you related to @Big Yaya Wilko 12 by any chance?
Why the glass half empty attitude?
Lighten up, we're 15 points clear on a great run of form, stop trying to talk doom in, embrace what's happening in the here and now.
Hahaha it's fine mate just a blue who knows we do things the hard way.

Not down certainly not gloomy but definitely not over either.

If we win tomorrow that will be the biggest statement of the year.

Agreed, especially with the young talent focus, and the "Utd might get him" fretting.

I do suspect players understand how it works as time goes on and wages roll higher for newer players, and for talent, so I'm not too concerned with dressing room angst.

My comment was more about screwing Arsenal as much as possible because I hate them.

Agree with that. I can't believe they would sell him to a team at their level rather than one is already a million miles ahead of them. They have however made that mistake many times before. They never seem to learn!

If that done tweet indicates City then it will be announced right before Utd match and if United is signing him and it's done then they will do it before our match

Agree but it could be complicated financially.

He is still going to want either a big signing on fee or huge wage. I'm not a fan of players coming in and getting paid more than others (equal talent or better) as it can cause unrest and lead to a spiralling wage bill. Not sure De Bruyne would be happy for example if Sanchez was being paid £100k a week more than him.

If it is a signing on fee and then wages plus agent fee and £35m it could cost over £100m over the 4 years by which time he will be in his 34th year. It seems a lot of money for someone of that age. There would be no sell on fee. United may have trumped us on Van Persie but he must have cost over £50m for one decent season.

I prefer our buy the young talent strategy, develop them and keep them or if we do sell we make a profit, something we have struggled with over the years. This signing seems to go against our current policy a little.

If it was PSG and not united after him, I don't think too many would be as concerned.

What we should not do is go back to the days of paying whatever anyone wants.

Uniteds approach is very scatter gun. They don't seem to mind having a ridiculously high wage bill (rumours De Gea wants £300k a week now! Absurd for a keeper). They just want to keep the brand alive and they will pay whatever they have to to do that. They haven't had a good transfer strategy for many years, well before Ferguson left. He let our progress cloud his judgement and for one last hurrah he basically ruined them.
Good post, I agree.
