No I don't believe he made the decision on a rumour, I believe he made the decision because he knew Pep was coming, and Pep wanted him in place when he arrived. I'm sure a future Pep book will confirm this.

Did Mourinho come out and say anything after the game about Sanchez?

He said he’s equally as confident of getting him than not confident of him staying. Open to the idea of both getting Sanchez and/or letting Mkhitaryan leave. Besides that he said it’s unfair to comment on a current Arsenal player where other clubs will be involved.

Tbf he sounded confident, normally Jose would be quite reserved in what he says so..

Aguero is massively on the decline and offers this team nothing in big games. Sane and Sterling aren't at the level Sanchez is and Bernardo is a mile off being the player he was at Monaco.

Liverpool home to put us 1-0 up.

Napoli away to put us 2-3 up.

Arsenal home (pen), to put us 2-0 up and give us breathing space.

Bristol City semi final 1st leg to put us 2-1 up in added time and give us an advantage.

There seems a breakdown in communication between Sanchez's camp and our club, over Sanchez's desire to leave Arsenal this window.

We seemed to want him to stay at Arsenal he wanted to leave.

I hope we can learn from this and have clearer lines of communication between ourselves and our targets in the future.
