Ozil won our player of the year award in 15/16 and was irrelevant after January? It means nothing who wins the individual award.

Okay tell me this, if David Silva was so good why didn't he get nominated for the PFA player of the year award?

No city player ever does there's a massive bias against us and that's not paranoia just look at the nominations and teams of the year over the past 7 years

Thats a mystery to all soccer fans.Tell me how the fuck did Walker win it over Sergio Aguero 3 years ago.
Silva hasn`t been irrelevant all season and has continued to look nothing like a 30+ year old player. He`s our equivalent of Iniesta.

Because what he does isn't as obvious as scoring goals. Anybody who watches him closely recognises his genius and notices how he completely dominates games. If you're not a City fan i wouldn't really expect people to see it, hence why there's no real surprise he doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Rest assured though, other players and Managers notice it, plenty have commented on it and plenty have singled him out in an attempt to stop him knowing if you can somehow stop David Silva you stop city.

Also no surprise a lot of non-city fans see KDB as better than him for the same reasons i mentioned above, he does things that are easily recognised by scoring goals or getting direct assists, yet there's a very very small minority of City fans that would share that view.

No I actually watched City a lot as many of your games were televised. I didn't notice him at all, KDB was noticed a hell of a lot more and what a player btw. Silva played in 34 games last season and only managed 4 goals and 7 assists. For me, in your team, that is shocking for a so called world class attacker.
David Silva attracts double teaming which opens up space for players like KDB, Sterling, Sane to have even more time to make their own plays. Silva also advances the play far more than anyone else in the team. He's more important than Aguero who you deem "World Class" and is one of the best in the league

Walker? The last 5 winners have been -

Kante
Mahrez
Hazard
Suarez
Bale

All worthy winners.

No I agree, hence why Kante was nominated. I'm just saying lads, if Aguero and Silva truly had their best ever seasons in city shirts last season they would've at least been nominated to be the PFA player of the year. They've been nominated other times in the past 5 seasons when they've had their true best seasons in City shirts.

The fact Kyle Walker won the young award over Kun in our 1st PL title winning season tells you everything you need to know about that award.

In fact, Kun was on the shortlist for the main award as well but Walker wasn't. So by the PFA's amazing logic, a young player who wasn't nominated for the top award was a more worthy candidate than a player who was nominated for both.

Also, Giggs won the thing after player 11 league games in a season.

If you're going to try and slag Dave off, at least give some credible evidence.

If Dave played for United, Arsenal, Spurs or Liverpool he'd have been knighted by now.

That's just confirmed it, going with the stats and the MOTD highlights.

The season before last Silva was being written off as finished while injured by some on here, while KDB was being lauded as the second coming of Christ.

But based on last season, you'll struggle to find a single poster who thought KDB was better than Silva, irrespective of the "numbers".

You've clearly not been watching our games if you think Silva was an "attacker" last seaaon. He played in midfield for 90% of the time.

Also, judging him by assists and goals is actually laughable in it's misunderstanding of football. Check out Zidane's stats at Madrid. Check out Xavi and Iniesta's at Barca. They're similar / worse to Silva's at City. Then go and ask Madrid and Barca fans what they thought of those players.

Judge players on performances, not Fantasy Football stats and MOTD highlights.

I literally said Silva dropped off, meaning that he's dropped off from when he was in his absolute prime for you guys, and some have had a hissy fit about it? :/

Isn't it obvious that a 31 year old would drop off from previous seasons? Like is that really a bad thing to say :/
It. Was. His. Best. Season.

It's not a bad thing to say. It's just fucking wrong.

It was young player he's referring to. In answer to your original question the same reason why both our title winning managers failed to win manager of the year.

You sir are deluded.

i'm not slagging dave off at all, read my posts? All I've said is he's dropped off? Is that slagging off? No it isn't in the slightest.

I preferred this thread when it contained actual news about Alexis potentially joining us. Now it's just full of wumming Gooners.
