Alexis Sanchez

This is just the first domino to fall in the transfer, next one should be Alexis stating he won't be signing a new contract. No doubt it will run and run with the media throwing the usual shite at the player and City before the transfer goes through. At least a month in this i reckon.

If Arsenal had told Sanchez they weren't gonna sell. The likes of Cross & Ornstein would be queuing up to write long editorials about it.

That was my first thought as well, why are we hearing this from some random Chilean twitter bloke and not Arsenal's trusty mouthpieces?

This should be on the back page of every paper in the country. Arsenal's big display of strength, "he's staying" headlines everywhere.

It's a funny one this. Even though the club seem to have made this a priority, he's the one that we need the least when compared to the fullbacks etc. He already knows the premier league and he wouldn't be ready to start pre season til later on anyway. We can afford for this to drag on. Jesus is essentially a new signing and even though Bernardo doesn't play Sanchez's position, he adds more flexibility that frees up our other attack minded players if needed.

Sanchez is a great player and my gut says this will still happen. It wouldnt massively hurt us if it didn't though. When push comes to shove, i just don't believe Arsenal would be willing to lose £50m on him though. That money is the difference between them replacing him with a 50m player and a 100m player. I'm glad they already spent a huge chunk on Lacazette as I don't think he's the man to take them to the next level at all. Arsenal will surely take the money but they'll also surely leave it until the last minute. There's no incentive for them to make it easy for us by getting it done early.
Because the club are also buying full backs....

Will the situation not upset aguero/ Jesus as one of them will be unhappy and won't want to warm the bench

No?

Did Barca cry when they had Messi, Villa, Pedro and Sanchez? Do Bayern cry when they have Robben, Ribery, Lewandowski, Costa?

There's nothing wrong with having more than 2 strikers and with Aguero's injury record they will all get 30+ games minimum this season.

Where in that post did I say we weren't? I know that this has zero bearing on who we target at fullback or how much we spend on them. My point was we can afford to be pretty relaxed about this one as even though he's a brilliant player, he isn't the one we need most right now and it would be less damaging to us if this didn't come off when compared to other signings we need to complete. Arsenal don't have us over a barrel on this signing and still run the risk of losing him on a free.
