Alexis Sanchez

West Ham would be my bet. About his level, they love acting like they're big time and he'd get to be the star. No top team would want him after his last few seasons

Cech has bombed recently, Hart in good form would be a decen upgrade in keeper for Arsenal, yet their current level of board room and managerial incompetence means we don't have to worry about them being real competitors for the next 2 years.

A cash + Hart deal would also fuzz the numbers a bit, they can claim they sold Sanchez for 50m and got Hart for 10, and we can say we sold Hart for 20 and got Sanchez for 30m

Hart to Arsenal would be perfect for everyone.

Agreed. It will not make them stronger. Perfect if it could pave the way for Alexis Sanchez coming to City.

It's true.

He scores more goals in less minutes.

there was something on Facebook yesterday about his mins per goal compared to Drogba (who was seen as a god in the premiership when he was here) - Kun absolutely smashes his record to bits.....along with many others.

Ideal scenario is definitely Hart to Arsenal as a makeweight in a deal for Sanchez.
Would depend on Arsenal and Joe though - he might prefer staying in the area and signing for one of the Miseryside clubs and Wenger might be happy with the keepers he's got.

He smashes everyone's record to bits, Džeko was within around 20 minutes a goal before his last season but that was it.

Drogbas reputation came from scoring big goals though, in finals and semi finals, not lots of goals. 9 goals in 9 finals for Chelsea winning 9 trophies IIRC.

It does indeed but personal records do not make a team, otherwise shearer would have 5 quadruples to his name and every accolade known to man!

It's funny, part of the contradiction within the Aguero discussion is that on the one hand there's this strong feeling that over the last five years we've underachieved massively, and on the other hand people seem petrified of letting go of the players who were the core of that team that underachieved.

I don't see a contradiction there at all - Aguero isn't part of the reason we've underachieved, he's been carrying the team virtually single handed at times.

I disagree wholeheartedly. If there was a stronger way for me to disagree, I'd do it! haha. For me it's a total contradiction. Aguero has for the most part flattered to deceive too often at the very highest level in the biggest games. I appreciate his goal scoring record and I appreciate what he brings to the side, but he is absolutely part of our underachievement.

Also, in terms of his goals, stick any "top" level striker in our side over the last five years and they score as many as Kun has. His record on paper looks lovely, but as I say, the underachievement speaks for itself.

Which big games were these? His scoring record against the top 6 is fantastic, without doing the research I'd say it's as good as or better than any other strikers in the modern era. He's scored plenty in the Champions League as well. When you consider how poor we've been against the top sides in the last 3 seasons I'd say he and Silva are the only ones that haven't under performed.

In my honest opinion my heart says keep Sergio but my head says get rid.

Aguero has been my favourite ever player, I know there is the argument that Silva is our best ever which in my eyes he is! But sometimes we have our favourites and with the 93.20 goal and along with many others he is my favourite ever player, but now it's the time to move him on I think.

He's 28 years old and in this day and age with the inflation in the market he will fetch minimum of £70m. And people saying I don't feel comfortable with replacing him for Sanchez... He wouldn't be replaced by Sanchez, he's already been replaced by Gabriel Jesus. Let's not forget had Jesus not got injured God knows when we would have seen Aguero start again, he was completely out of the picture and we was playing the best football that we had done all season. I know since he's come back into the side he is scoring at a good rate but it's no coincidence that we are playing awful again and was playing awful before Jesus got into the side.

Pep is bang on with praising what he is seeing from Sergio because he's busting his bollocks running and trying to link in with the overall play but yes infront of goal he is lethal but his link up play leaves a lot to be desired numerous times he will pick it up and take that half a second too long and then sane/sterling run in behind is not on anymore he doesn't lift his head fast enough and pep knows this and for me coupled in with the meeting he had with Sergio and his Agent he is off this summer.

Can you just imagine having Gabriel Jesus up front and having to choose 3 of Sane, Sterling, Silva and Sanchez for the LW, RW and CAM spots? With with De Bruyne tucked just behind them? Good god it would be frightening.

No one responded to this? This basically sums up everything perfectly about why it's time to move on / why it will happen.

Good post.

I don't care about his individual record in games we've lost. I appreciate and acknowledge he's a world class striker and his individual record is phenomenal. However for me right now, I don't see how you can separate our underachievement both in the PL and the CL in recent seasons and the performances of our best players. Ultimately for me you need clutch players to be a top team. Those guys who turn up when nobody else does and drag you through a game you need to win. Since 13/14 I don't remember Aguero (or Silva) doing that. Bayern away maybe when he got that late hat trick?

Dissing sergio is really getting on my nerves,he has given us his best 6 years and the best moment most of us have ever experienced
He is the premier leagues best ever striker and if he leaves it should be with respect from every blue

It's quite easy, we haven't given them the necessary platform, they've never had the supporting cast that the star players at Bayern, Barca and Madrid have had.
