Tbh, I really don't want Sanchez. He will add nothing to this side in my view.
Just kidding

If we get Sanchez as well as our other rumoured targets, our League Cup team, let alone our FA Cup team is going to look very impressive.
We could have Sane, Sterling and Aguero/ Jesus starting in League and FA Cup games.
Khaldoon wants the quadruple and if we carry on signing players like this we'll eventually get it. Maybe not next season but the one after.
I can honestly see us to twatting everybody 8-3
LOL.

Jokes aside, I really can't see Sanchez signing for us. Even if he wants to come, I doubt Arsenal would sell him to us. They would rather let him run down his contract and if he becomes a contract rebel come September, Arsene would just put him on the bench which would seriously affect his performances next year at the WC. I really doubt he would be willing to risk that.
This narrative that we haven't won much since the Sheikh arrived is completely wrongInteresting comments on Arsenal Mania.
The typical Arsenal fan.
If Alexis does go to City it proves two things for me.
One, he doesn't actually care about trophies nearly as much as money, as City hardly win a ton of stuff despite the teams they put together.
And two, Pep is a pure checkbook manager who needs to assemble super teams to have any success. This was probably already apparent after his first season in a league with more than two competitive teams in it, but buying Alexis when they already have a great attack would just hammer that home.
The not so typical Arsenal fan.
While I like slating Pep since he's at City and they won nothing are we just going to ignore that City has a DOF and each and every season they spend loads of money regardless of who is in charge? This isn't some new situation since Pep arrived.
Plus often times Arsenal fans complain that other managers spends loads to bring in new players only because they are viewing things via AFC color glasses. At no other top top club does the manager need to give a **** about funds and building/working with what they have, like Arséne/ Arsenal does, thus they spend/have no problem bringing in players. They are actually "judged in May" so what manager/person under those conditions is going to choose to impose restrictions on themselves, count the owners pockets, and worry about money/funds?
The City front office is actively trying to build the best team possible. Despite the talent in their team Alexis is one of the best players in the league so if their is a chance to get him you add him and worry about the rest (moving players on) later.
The situation now is a bit different though. They are not in the Champions League this season. Their fans are already pissed off at Wenger and the last thing he would want to do is sell his best player. The fans will riot and I really doubt if they can get any player of Sanchez' calibre for £50m.Arsenal haven't got a choice who he plays for. If the money is good the owners will sell him. They need to finish off paying for the gold plated bogs in the directors suite.
They will not turn down £50m, they will not sit a £50m player on the bench for the last 12 months of his contract, it just doesn't happen, anywhere.
Just like all the players we've signed off them in the past, and all the other players they have sold to top 4/5 rivals. They're owners do not give a shit.
It doesn't work like that. If we get all our rumoured first choice targets, then I can see most teams just parking the bus, especially at the Etihad. Teams like Stoke, West Brom, United etc. are indeed good at that. A lot of such games will have to be won 1-0 or 2-1.

BTW, Dortmund I believe let Lewandowski's contract run down, didn't they?
White text.
Come on guys this is the transfer forum, you've got to be sharper than that.
I thought it was more Bayern weren't arsed paying for him so basically waited till the following Summer.
Pep will always have the "He's a cheque book manager, anyone could have been successful at Barca and Bayern with their squads" bla bla for me he's way ahead of his time. His coaching skills are on another planet just listen how current and ex players talk about him.
Things like they learned more in a couple of months then in their entire carriers under him I think he will win the lot with us.
Arsenal fans saying he's only coming for money bitter cents both them and Bayern offering mega, he knows what's going to happen here over the next few years!
I'd rather play for the Rags than play under Arsene Wenger. You just get the feel he is a proper, proper ****.
