We'll be supporting him like we did razzer, lets see if he has the bottle to see it through
Still despise John Aldridge and Mark Lawrenson for this against Raz. Can imagine Ray Parlour and Martin Keown coming out saying how bad Alexis is for joining us etc

He has the work ethic Pep loves, but I'm just not sure where he fits in for the money, unless we really do want to carry two world class forward/attacking midfield lines through the season. We already have at least 10 Intls for 5-6 slots, but then Pep has said he would play with 10 midfielders if he could.

I have a feeling we are going to be an "all-out, balls to the wall, beat us on the counter if you can, but we now have a decent back line, too" team next season and it is going to be an exciting rollercoaster ride until it is Pep-fected! And, anyone who wants to try to phone it in, in any position, at any time, in any game, is going to find themselves sitting behind Pep or in the stands in a hurry!

This is a £2B business, with hundreds of millions at stake every year. No passengers allowed!

We don't have a decent back line yet.

So Sanchez will be the bad man

Typical Arse just like the dippers

Absolutely, but part of it is unquestionably that City are the buyers as well. The rags don't have this problem to such a degree, partly because there's no real history of meaningful transfers between us and them in the modern era, partly because they have an inbuilt fear of us that supersedes any bitterness about post takeover City, and partly because they've got too much ego bruising shit of their own to contend with. The dippers and the Arse in particular however are consumed with sneering spite about our rise, as so much of their raison d'etre is rooted in past glory. For your average red Scouse it's still 1983 (and 1998 for the gooners) and ikkle City being above them in the natural pecking order just does not compute. The jealousy and poison they reserve for the club that has deprived them of Chimps League spots, squillions in prize money, silverware and prestige in equal measure, is out of all proportion to any historic rivalry between them and us. They will set Sanchez up and turn on him with rabid intensity, of that you may be sure! Revel in it!

Sounds to me like Arsenal might be in a position where they have to sell him in order to get their business done. No Champions League money this year either.

Plus player may not want to come if they seem to lack ambition/ cant keep existing stars.

Done know how they manage it. Squeaky bum time every year with some star or another allowed to enter the final year of the contract. Either get them signed up and if they appear uninterested the year before then get top dollar for them and fuck them off.

The way I see it, there are four main options for the forward three (with our current players) next season:

Sane - Aguero/Jesus - B. Silva
Sane - Aguero - Jesus
Sterling - Aguero/Jesus - B. Silva
Sane - Aguero - Sterling

Buying Sanchez would likely mean that in big games, Bernardo Silva, Sterling and one of Aguero and Jesus would be on the bench. This would not only stunt their development but would also be bad for team morale. A big squad with a lot of competition for places is a good thing, but you can only have a certain amount of rotation and there comes a point where it becomes counterproductive.

Sanchez gives you that extra bit of quality that is needed to win titles. Add him to that bunch and we will score some goals next season.

Bernardo silva will be in every starting 11 for the big games, you'll see just how good he is. No exaggeration but he's probably going to become better than Silva and I can't bloody wait.

Maybe, but then someone else among Sane, David Silva and De Bruyne would be dropped. There's no way around how difficult it will be to keep everyone happy with their playing time even as is (without Sanchez)
