Exactly..ultimately it's the owners decision on whether he's sold or not..it's not Wenger's money..he's not set to potentially lose 50 mil+ if Alexis walks for fuck all next year
 
Things may well change when Sanchez returns for pre season. I'm sure he'll make it clear that he wants out & Wenger will give onto his wishes.

We'll see... He's also stated in the past his dream move would be Real Madrid. I'd not begrudge him moving there if he was replaced with some serious talent. Rather he stay though & lift the CL trophy.

Real will not sign a 30 year old Aguero. They are far more likely to target dybala or just buy Mbappe either thus year or next.

If we are the only interested party he will sign for us 100%. Wenger ain't exactly going to come out and say '' oh well if he wants to go to city fine we'll sell him" they'd lose every bargaining chip they have. They can't afford to lose out on 50million, there's no guarantee they'd get CL football with him still there (like last season) so it'd be an incredible risk to take and risk losing 50 million.
 
Seem to recall more than one poster on here claiming they knew people ITK who said it had been agreed at 53m. Not heard anyone make another claim like that for a while but I think that would be a fair price for both sides
