This +1.

It's astonishing how many people still think 11-14 players is enough. We're aiming to win the champions league and the league. Real/ Bayern and until recently Barca had squads of genuine depth, with game changers on the bench. In trouble away at Monaco our bench options were Kelechi, Navas and Nolito.

We need goals, we need something different and we need a forward. Sanchez ticks this boxes.

Couldn’t agree more.

Winds me up every week when someone doesn’t start and my dad (68) says, why has he dropped so and so?

Week after week I have to explain we rotate and we won’t always play the same X1. Christ it annoys me ha!

Yaya and Gundo will be used in DM. So you missed Fernandinho for those front 6.
That's 10 players for 6 positions.

Last time we won the league: Yaya, Fernandinho, Garcia, Rodwell, Milner, Nasri, Silva, Navas, Negredo, Agüero, Jovetic and Džeko (as well as youngsters Marcos Lopes and Emyr Huws) That's 12. 8 forwards for 4 attacking spots (we have 7 for 5 currently)

In 2011-12: Yaya, Barry, de Jong, Pizarro, Hargreaves, Milner, Nasri, Silva, Johnson, Džeko, Balotelli, Agüero, Tevez (Scapuzzi, Razak, Suarez) that's 13.
Again, 8 forwards for 4 spots.

Not to mention we didn't exactly trouble the CL either of those seasons. We 100% have space for another forward.
There was a clear difference between first and second string back then with one or two exceptions. The current forward players are all arguably first choice. In 13/14 Garcia, Rodwell, Navas, Jovetic and arguably Dzeko in the first half of the season were clearly second choices. It was similar in 11/12. It's much more difficult to choose a first choice now. If we were to get an additional 19-21 year old that would make more sense but at 28/29 Sanchez would expect to play most matches and who would you drop?

Are you pissed up ... a bit of a donkey.I take it you know jack shit about the game.
Donkey was maybe a bit harsh but he's No better than Stones No better than Mangala or Otamendi IMO, footballs about opinions and VVD is someone we clearly don't agree on and there's nothing wrong with that. We need better than what we have got already and VVD isn't that guy for me.

I can understand his frustration as fans want to see our best team every week but this isn't going to happen as the only guaranteed first XI matches will the top 6/ Champions league big guns. I took my son to his first match last year, Bournemouth at home, Silva was out and Kun suspended but we still put on a great performance.

Rotation is of course inevitable at any side. But if Sanchez is signed, then that means five or six top stars on the bench every game once Gundogan returns. Will certainly be interesting to see how pep would keep them satisfied if he did come as very few sides in world football would ever had this much depth.

Obviously it's been mentioned AND I MISSED IT,otherwise I wouldn't of asked the fucking question!
Don't worry, every single comment on this thread is a tired old cliche rehash of what has gone before. Boring as fck but people need to have their say and re- ask reasonable questions. Some billy know all big bollocks decides to jump on you for some reason. The answers by the way is no.

Ah,ok...ta.

The Rag mentioned before is probably looking at his stats. Sanchez hasn't run over 10k in a game all season I don't think. He is the complete opposite to Ozil, who doesn't look busy but actually runs a lot, whereas Sanchez looks extremely busy but doesn't actually run as much.

He is a great player but he's not without his faults. He takes on a lot of shots to get his goals, he gets dispossessed a lot, and he often runs into blind alleys and dribbles with the ball when a simple pass would have done.

But he is capable of the spectacular, either by a goal or an assist, our play is built round him so his faults are forgotten when he produces, which he does so on lots of occasions.

If he does move, it will be interesting to see if he has to adapt his game any, or Pep or the team adapt for him. Will also be interesting to see how Arsenal get on as well having been reliant on him.

Just one more stage to go and you have the full set
