If he's so important why leave him waiting on a contract until now?
We must be making a push to get this done!;)

Manchester United still think they could get Alexis Sánchez before August £50m and see him better value than Ivan Perisić. (Source: Times)
I just think analyzing stats without considering the. cirumstances, tells you very little. Like watching YouTube higlights and not actually watching games. How many starts; how many minutes; which were the opponents; was he carrying a knock; had he just returned from international duty; was he match sharp after a ban or injury? Without considering all these things, stats are of little value.
Sergio has blown hot and cold all his time here at City, with barren patches (for him) followed by goal fests. What I do know is that I have watched both players over several years and I'd take Aguero over Sanchez every day of the week.

The stats back up my observations that, last season, Sanchez was the better player and that Sergio's finishing prowess has declined. Sanchez was the only player in the league in double figures for goals and assists.
What the future holds, I don't know but I'd feel a lot happier if we added Sanchez to the squad.
It's fairly simple, since Peps arrival we have been facing more teams looking to park the bus (ffs even the rags did at the Etihad!) that means the chances we are creating are more difficult simply due to the congestion in the penalty area. Chances are less likely to be clear cut in this scenario and you will have less time to finish. Despite this, Kun still scored 30 goals ffs and he scored on the opening day too! Too many of our fans seem to keen to write off our players. I am seeing a player in Kun who is doing more pressing than ever and far from in decline.
It's the other way around. Players leaving Arsenal waiting. They have contract offers. It's surely a consequence of player power and Arsenal's perceived inability to challenge for the title. If he's so important why leave him waiting on a contract until now?

I think it's just a case of wait and see. I'm guessing nobody but Kroenke and Wenger know what they intend to do. They could lead City up a garden path then not sell on the last day of the window. I just hope there's a back up plan that's decent!
Did you think that last season?Spot on.
We need someone so there'd better be a plan.
My feeling too. We have Sterling, Silva and now Aguero who miss too many chances. This cost us big time last season and it could be the same again this year. Sanchez has the creative edge but is pretty clinical in front of goal too. I wouldn't fancy picking our strongest team if he comes, and I see it as a tough job for Pep to manage all those big names wanting to start, but he is paid to manage that situation and it's a nice problem to have.
I think the plan has always been get Sanchez and people close to Pep have always said that the feeling is Wenger won't sell until right at the end of the window!
I hope this is true but find it hard to fathom why Wenger would want to leave it til the last minute.
KDB not scoring enough either.
I remain convinced they can all do better, because the problem is mental more than anything. Pep mentioned his players needing to relax very recently. We need a spark to ignite a change. Yet another player may not be the answer per se but we are short a striker so let's make him a top class addition.
I agree mate: KDB isn't scoring enough, but unlike Sterling and Silva, I think he will. Those two snatch at chances and I am sure that every manager they have worked with has worked with them incessantly on it. Sergio I hope can get back his lethal edge as, as you say, it's obviously psychological and confidence based.
A spark to ignite a change makes sense. That spark will hopefully be a couple of drubbings. The Watford win came at the wrong time!
to give himself as much time as possible to get over the disapointment of it.I hope this is true but find it hard to fathom why Wenger would want to leave it til the last minute.
