Sánchez is going to play for Chile on August 31 .. that's for sure (Chile and Argentina fight for a place to go to the World Cup).
It is very possible that he does not play against Liverpool, but that does not mean that he is sold. If Arsenal decides to end in a free transfer does not necessarily put us as favorites, that will depend on the sports results (if we win PL, Sánchez would not be a priority).

And if Pep is still here ... he has spent a lot and this season should show results.

It's fairly simple, since Peps arrival we have been facing more teams looking to park the bus (ffs even the rags did at the Etihad!) that means the chances we are creating are more difficult simply due to the congestion in the penalty area. Chances are less likely to be clear cut in this scenario and you will have less time to finish. Despite this, Kun still scored 30 goals ffs and he scored on the opening day too! Too many of our fans seem to keen to write off our players. I am seeing a player in Kun who is doing more pressing than ever and far from in decline.

Well if Kun is being accurate which of our other players who shoot are unable to even hit the target ?
Plenty of chances with plenty of shots but one on target is a not normal..

If reports are true(other clubs seem to be put off attempting to sign him for a reason)that he want's to come here, what difference would a season make, free or not? As for Pep, he ain't going nowhere unless he walks. And he's probably feeling more relaxed in his job than he has for a while so I can't see that happening.

That Times report: City are "discussing whether to make a bid" this week but Sanchez' international commitments may complicate that?

If true - and given that it is a paper it probably is not - what sort of amateur hour are these people living in? Not as if things like an international break come at one completely out of nowhere.

That post is as difficult to answer as the problem of Schrodinger's cat.

Him playing won't make any difference of us signing him. Why would it?! People seem so adamant that if he plays he's not coming. Don't get why some think that.

The stats back up my observations that, last season, Sanchez was the better player and that Sergio's finishing prowess has declined. Sanchez was the only player in the league in double figures for goals and assists.

What the future holds, I don't know but I'd feel a lot happier if we added Sanchez to the squad.

Those stats are better but at Arsenal they don't have double decker buses to get through week in week out.

Very bizarre handling of the last month of the transfer window when a forward has been a priority all summer.
