Ornstein saying Arsenal are skint and can't afford to replace Ox and no one will come in unless Sanchez is sold. Can you imagine paying £1000+ for a season ticket and being told that a net spend of £15m was all you could afford.

Considering the press briefed yesterday that the players want Sanchez to go, it's clear the Arsenal squad is nowhere near where they need to be and they're being told they can only strengthen if they sell Sanchez, I suspect Txiki is sat with a cigar waiting for Arsenal to ring

Sky sports says Riyad Mahrez has been given permission to leave the Algerian camp so he can join an unnamed club. Seems like it's all adding up.

Why on earth are they so skint? Decades of Champions League football, high season tickets, new stadium.

I think this deal is completely done but we are holding back the announcement to give Arsenal as much time as possible to sign a replacement. Pep wants good relationship with Arsenal that is why imo sanchez hasnt forced the move, This is guesswork before anyone asks.
All guesswork and we cannot help it.

If we take it at face value, then nothing is happening because Arsenal are not trying to buy anyone. They are inert. Sky are obviously stage managing their drama the best they can. Is a charade being played out before us with the clubs knowing what the outcome is?

City must believe that they can do this otherwise I am certain we will have pulled the plug and the world would know.

Just watching on and seeing what unfolds, and glad that it is all going to end soon. Whatever happens, Arsenal and City are heading in opposite directions.

there could be a chance that we've been told to hold off anything official till Arsenal get in a replacement maybe?

My belief is that Arsenal have no intention of getting a replacement and by replacement I mean splashing £50m+ on someone. They might well get some numbers in to try and appease the fans but I don't think it will be a top-rated player.

It was never about winning stuff. It was proper football just going with the lads home and away. It's not as much fun now, it's all very serious.

You are so right mate..going away games with more hope of a win than actual expectation of one...having a good day out regardless of the result.

Every game now carries huge pressure to win and dropping a point is a disaster...but still happy to have been there when we were fucking shit and I think we deserve the good times that we have now.

I don't think we are skint, i believe they are just putting out crap as some sort of excuse as to why we've had a bit of a stinker the past month or so.

I believe the wages thing that was often spoken about on here back then might be an issue, but i'm not believing what they say regards money.

That is what most people think. We will give them time to try and sign someone before Sanchez is announced to help keep that cost down. Whether they do or not will not impact the Sanchez deal. He wants out and has a year left. 60m/70m or nothing...money talks.
