Jackson and Ed Aarons are good journalists. I'd be surprised if their summary is wrong.
Fucking hell, you've started early today.

No, absolutely. I'm saying in this case, this example with this player. I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole, irrespective of other examples. I think he's been garbage.Players who’ve played under Maureen and looked terrible move to another club and play really well? Never happened before so I suppose you must be right.........
No, I was alluding to that there is no offer from the rags
Of course they did. The press were 100% reliable when Sanchez ‘snubbed’ those ‘offers’ because he only wanted City. Now he might be looking at the dark side, they are clueless idiots who don’t know anything. For what it’s worth I think they are the latter and they had no more idea about Munich and PSG as they do now!Just out of interest regarding the “he could’ve joined Bayern or PSG who were offering more money so why would he go to the Rags for more money?” argument, did either of those 2 clubs actually offer Sanchez those reported eye-watering figures in the summer? The impression I got is that he priced himself out of a move and both clubs baulked at the figures. For sure, I can’t imagine Bayern offering him a ridiculous wage. PSG obviously are a different matter but I can’t remember seeing any cast iron reports that they offered him a contract way higher than what we were offering.
However, maybe United are the ones who have come along out of sheer desperation and said they’re prepared to offer him the stupid money that Sanchez and his agent were demanding from other clubs, this in turn has caught the both off guard as they didn’t think anyone would be daft enough to match those terms and are now thinking “Fucking hell, we weren’t expecting that! What do we do now?”
This isn’t a flapping post by the way. I’m just trying to think through how United gotten themselves in the frame when it looked certain he was coming to us all along.
Seriously, would you have wanted Salah, after his woeful time at Chelsea? Never underestimate the damage Mourinho can do to a player. No, absolutely. I'm saying in this case, this example with this player. I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole, irrespective of other examples. I think he's been garbage.
Again, if the bid from Utd is as good as is being reported, what hasn’t it been officially accepted?
Not a pop, but how are the rags "in the frame" exactly?
De Jong left immediately after we won the title in 2012. He wasn’t here for Mancini’s last dreadful season.Spot on. I mentioned this a few years back about how City went backwards under Pellegrini and sold good players such as Tevez and De Jong for example and then brought in the likes of Bony and Fernando.
You can't rest on your laurels and the biggest mistake we could make is getting complacent and taking the foot off the gas. This team is on the verge of something very special, we need to keep freshening this group of players up and continuing to add players to it of the highest quality. Our fans may think that nobody will touch us even if we don't sign anyone this January or next season, but you never know. We all thought as soon as Mancini won the league we would kick on and build a dynasty and as you say, Utd won the league comfortably the season after because they went out and bought quality over quantity. As good as our manager is, as good as our team are playing right now, we need to keep putting our foot down on the accelerator. Making sure we buy Sanchez will only push the chasing pack further away from us. We can't afford to let other teams bridge the gap, we did the same with Van Persie, we did the same with Eden Hazard, lets make sure we get this Sanchez deal done and dusted.
I do however think that we are red hot favourites for him, but you never know in football. Money shouts.
How do we know it’s not and it’s just not been reported yet? These things don’t always hit the news as soon as they happen as we all know. On the flip side, City might have already come to an agreement with Arsenal and it’s just a case of tying up loose ends.
You think Utd and the way they use the media in this country wouldn’t want it sung from the rafters that a deal had been agreed?
Ok.
Salah was a much younger player who was able to take a couple of years abroad and rebuild his confidence in a less pressured environment, sound familiar? Mikhitaryan isn't that young.Seriously, would you have wanted Salah, after his woeful time at Chelsea? Never underestimate the damage Mourinho can do to a player.
