Where are you taking the family - if it come to fruition?
Nowhere planned as I can't see it happening. As said many times on this thread, arsenal don't sell to their rivals and that's the level united and arsenal are on. They are in a battle for fourth, although Chelsea aren't ripping up trees at the minute.
I stated earlier today that if he stays it works out at 1.25 million per PL game, no business man in his right mind would see this as a sensible deal, particularly knowing the mindset of the arsenal board. To arsenal its like a signing a player on loan from now until the end of the season for 20 million, or more if you believe the 35 million offer from elsewhere. personally I think he will move this window, I just don't know where.

IMO Sanchez is better than Sterling and Sane. I wish we offer Arsenal £20m basic with the necessary add ons to satisfy Arsenal with the transfer fee.

The transfer fee I don’t think is the issue.

The agent wants £10m and £15m for Sanchez as a signing on bonus.

We are putting up a stand to his agent.

If Sanchez wants us he will force a move to us and Arsenal will have to sell us him at the price we have offered or he comes on a Bosman in the summer.

That's fair enough. It's a shame your post was removed.

Maybe I was too hasty with my gif :)

RVP, Hazard, Pogba, Sanchez, probably missing a few, when it comes to the star players we seem to become pretty prudent. Weird when we've chucked away ungodly amounts on some proper wank

In this case I can kind of understand it, by the time this would likely get done we'd have a maximum of around 26-28 games left which would obviously mean getting to the final of every cup comp which is highly unlikely. Is it really sensible to pay such sums with so few games left?

On the other hand is the entire package gonna be much different if we were to sign him on a free in the summer? Signing on fees and agent fees are only going to go up in that case.

Perhaps we want to sign Evans too and we're close to the FFP barrier

Big bald Duncan Castles reporting United think they'll get Sanchez.

He's a shit journalist but his residence in Mourinho's lower colon does mean he gets info on that end.

I suppose United thinking they're getting Sanchez doesn't mean they are getting him, but I find it hard to believe the agent and player are set on Pep if things with United are getting this far.

United offering a financial package we don’t /can’t want to compete with isn’t anything new, would anyone blame him for choosing mega money over football reasons ? Isn’t that how we did things in the early years ? Let’s be realistic here Sanchez knows he can pick up a PL medal at the end of the season at City but an extra £100 grand at United a week with a realistic chance of a winners medal next season could seal it.

United are DESPERATE to get one over us make no mistake about that, money does talk , can any City fan deny that ?

The fact they couldn't extend his contract and still sell plus not letting him go in the summer has cost them much more money wise than what will happen if he leaves in this window so for those thinking Arsenal are concerned about it turning into a Bosman think again.

As mentioned before Arsenal and Wenger don't give a jot what has transpired in the past and the club in seasons gone by about running down his contract and this alone is what you have to consider above all other outcomes.

They will not hesitate to run the contract down and let him go for free especially if a replacement is not found and its speculation and no more if they intend to do this in this window.

The fans have pissed off beyond the point of caring and Wenger has never given a jot what the Arsenal fans think nor have the board for if he did he would have left long ago.

I actually hope they do run down his contract so all those bluemooners concerned he will carry Manure to a title this season if he joins them can rest a little easier.

Of course if his desire to leave is such that even Wenger knows he has to go now he will go even if his replacement is a step backwards for them quality wise.

With one player gone already and possibly more to come like Walcott in this window they don't want to be offloading another especially their best player with little to look forward to coming the other way.

Sanchez is undoubtedly a huge talent.
Whether he ends up with us, utd or elsewhere, time will tell.

My age allows me to remember, Rodney Marsh arriving at City.
In some ways, Rodney was like Sanchez, hugely talented. He was (IMO), a statement signing for City.
We were on the up, 4 points clear when he signed in March 1972, as we all know, we didn’t win the league.
In Rodney’s own words, his signing probably cost City the league that season....he was a distraction/disruption that the team didn’t need and the team was worse as a result.

I understand we are at risk, reliant on 1 recognised striker but, the team is more important than 1 player and, my perception is that Sanchez is a player with a chip on his shoulder the size of a log. The risk of disruption as a result of signing him is greater than the risk of being reliant on 1 striker (IMO).....

Don't forget he went to Arsenal when while being a top four club at the time were a fair way off challenging for Premiership honours.

We obviously showed some interest in him in the summer when the season was new and Manure were on top of the table.

Nobody really knows if the lust for titles and European success is what drives this bloke for if that was really the case his agent would more likely get him a move to the likes of PSG or Bayern etc.

Of course money talks and no body should be surprised if he moves in January or at seasons end that he swaps red for red , I certainly won't and I wouldn't rule out a move to clubs like those mentioned above especially if Arsenal run down his contract which I have little doubt is their preferred option.

Dont think were getting him tbh
Let Man U be held to random by his agent
Theyre good at that (Pogba)
I doubts Sanchez will lose any sleep over any of us on here!

Good point, i'm surprised no one has mentioned Rodney Marsh yet.

Hopefully Jesus will return in Feb and both strikers will stay injury free for the remainder of the season but if not we can shuffle the cards somewhat for sure.

His reported delight when he told Chillean teammates he was joining city on deadline day could have been more of a relief he was leaving a place he was unhappy at than anything else.

If its true he would like to team up with Pep again that's fine but I agree I don't think where he ends up is the be all and end all of his thinking as he looks at his wallet.

Sanchez needs to look at the table and realise he'd be making a sideways step. Utd are closer to being below Arsenal than they are to being level with us. Much closer.
There's also no stability in the management at Utd, Mourinho looks like a broken man most of the time ready to snap.

If he goes there he's a mercenary plain and simple. Utd do not look like an outfit on the verge of winning the big trophies. Even when Yaya et al. were coming here, as wellpaid as they were, it was obvious titles were on the way and they were all at an age where they'd be part of it. Sanchez is 29. Is it obvious he'll win PL/CL medals there? no. It's not even obvious Fake Little Mou will still be there come the summer

That said, I've always had the impression Sanchez wants to leave Arsenal for success rather than money so I think we'll get him one way or another.

Wasn't it the Hazard deal that failed because we weren't prepared to pay the agents fee and Chelsea were?
(I wonder if the decision makers regret that?)

I know we can't give into everything, but I do get the impression we have shot ourselves in the foot, playing hardball too early, for an exceptional talent. I wonder if a personal Pep phone call and a bit more flexibility with the financial package, can reassure Sanchez he is really wanted here?

I am not so sure about the last bit although he certainly like a number of players gives the impression he doesn't like losing but nothing new there.

I don't think Mou being at Manure next season or not will have much impact on his decision and if I was a betting man I think if he doesn't go at seasons end next season will be his last.

One thing in Manure's favour is he will get more game time there than he will with us all things being equal with injuries etc.

If Sanchez is only interested in a massive paycheque then why wouldn't he wait until the end of the season? Better yet, why wouldn't he have indulged PSG where he could earn a fortune with guaranteed silverware and a shot at the Champions League? Nothing about a move to United makes sense to me. My best guess is that his agent is trying to squeeze every penny he can out of us.

Nah.

He should be crawling here on his hands & fucking knees.

Twenty nine fucking years old & a possible chance to join what could become the best team of all time.

"Oh no, I want to play under Jose Mourinho"

My arse.

If he wants to be part of this, he can make an effort. If he wants a retirement fund, he can FUCK OFF.
