Quick question. Is Amazon Prime set up the same as Netflix (different programme availability depending on where you live)? If so, is Ireland a separate market to the UK? If so, would the documentary be geographically blocked? And yes, I am aware of proxys and other similar ways around that issue.

Ireland definitely doesn't get the full content the UK does.

Just the derby games that season alone - the Charity Shield, the 6-1, the Cup "defeat" would hold that series up.

To say nothing of the 3s, 4s and 5s we kept notching up during that autumn, Aguero's start to his City career, Dzeko being dropped after scoring 4 away at Spurs, Tevez going on strike, training ground bust ups being caught on camera, the appalling refereeing decisions that seemed to come out of nowhere (e.g. away at Chelsea), elimination from the champions league, the league cup semi final against Liverpool, losses in the run-in away at Swansea and Arsenal, then the return of Tevez against Chelsea and that night when the rags lost at Wigan and we beat West Brom 4-0. That season was one long white knuckle ride.

That tends to be for content they've licensed (i.e. films). Original content like this tends to be more consistently available across regions in my experience.

In-house content is generally available in all markets, regardless of geographical zoning. The blackouts come in to play for specific licensed content that is usually on a restricted availability timeframe, as well, based on the usage contract between Amazon and the production company/distributor.

You should be fine with this series as it is in-house and will likely be available to all markets indefinitely.

For Amazon to be able to bookend this season like that, even their own script writers couldn't have asked for more.

Has the potential to be the greatest football doc ever, especially if they do have the swamp punch up on camera phones.

Even the Liverpool and United defeats all have a sense of narrative and theatre about it.

If Soriano is smart, he has already suggested next season for Volume 2, surely the global public want to see what's next from Pep and his amazing team.

In all honesty, you could probably make a case for any City season in the last 25 years to be a complete drama. A certain trip to York springs to mind, as does a home 2-2 draw against Liverpool, the appointment of Brian Who as manager, Forward with Franny, and an end of season tour where Joey Barton mistook somebody's face for an ash-tray.

The Beanie the Horse episode could be quite fun. Starring a small stuffed child's toy with no ability to think or function as Stuart Pearce.
