All Time Top 1100 Albums (Aerosmith - Big Ones) P265

Def Leppard have a glimmer of hope here.
Wishy washy album. Wishy washy songs. Apart from "You're so Vain" the only other thing that's remotely interesting is the front cover.

The whole album is dull, uninspiring and not worth a top 10,000 slot let alone a top 1000.

2/10

1 for You've So Vain and 1 for the nips.

No Secrets is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Carly Simon, released on November 28, 1972, by Elektra Records.

The album was Simon's major commercial breakthrough; it spent five weeks at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 chart and quickly went Gold, as did its lead single, "You're So Vain", which remained at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three weeks, and the Adult Contemporary chart for two weeks. Twenty-five years after its initial release, No Secrets was officially certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on December 12, 1997.

1. The Right Thing To Do
2. The Carter Family
3. You're So Vain
4. His Friends Are More Than Fond Of Robin
5. We Have No Secrets
6. Embrace Me, You Child
7. Waited So Long
8. It Was So Easy
9. Night Owl
10. When You Close Your Eyes

Here we go! Review No 9 - You're so vain you probably think this review is a bout you, don't you !? - The lovely Carly Simon kicks off our Album for the week - A mix of personal and poignant songs and her voice is very nice, for a album 50 years old this is still sounding very fresh - whilst many songs stand the test of time it is hard to pinpoint which ones are exactly the classic's aside from 'You're So Vain' , 'We Have No Secrets' is nice enough and showcases her voice and subtle lyricism also 'Night Owl' is quite a good upbeat cover - but i'm struggling to find anything else memorable on here.
'You're so Vain' is just the stand out - it is a wonderfully produced classic pop song with the help of Mick Jagger on back up vocals.
A talented artist and a wonderful voice (and a nice pair of nipples) but 'No Secrets' was just too bland for me.

This placed 997 out of the Top 1000

I can only remember a couple of points of interest from that album.

Reading everyone else's review on here I was completely dreading listening to this - however I didn't hate it (possibly due to my expectations being absolutely rock bottom). I was also doing a few bits around the house as opposed to listening whilst driving so maybe that has also influenced my thinking.

I won't be clamouring to put it back on but there were some alright bits on it and I genuinely liked We have no secrets.

One of my shorter reviews this morning........

Dave Crosby's been on, he wants to know whether it will improve his Blue Moon scoring if he gets his nips out........... ;-)
