All Time Top 1100 Albums (Aerosmith - Big Ones) P265

Lol, aside from the songs?
Reminds me of that fillet steak & chips I had the other night. The meal was beyond shit, apart from the gorgeous fillet steak.

The rooftop footage from 69 aside, it’s the best filmed song footage. Some funny moments, a good looking cast, fabulous photography in some wonderful locations. Oh and it’s in colour. And it’s not got yellow submarine in it.
A highly recommended Beatles film for me. Just had a quick look on Amazon too, rated 4.7/5 there too, so not too many disappointed purchasers either. Maybe just cos the music though. I’m not suggesting it’s up there with Dr Shivago which I think came out the same year maybe, but beyond shit is a tad extreme.
I enjoyed the film.
Loved the 4 houses into 1.
They just started doing You Got to Hide your Love Away.
Fab.

Help is an enjoyable album.

As somebody else has noted, I've heard many Beatles songs over the years but I don't think that I've ever listened to a complete album. In addition to the well known songs here, I also enjoyed "I've just seen a face" and George Harrison's "You like me too much".

8/10

Now listening to Rubber Soul

An album that moved the Beatles on musically. Multi tracking and different music sections all found their place here.

The film was dog shit of course but musically the album still stands the test of time. You can hear old pop to new pop. Side 1 is a belter. Not really a bad song in there. Side 2 is a bit different. 2 cover versions, a first on a proper album release, and the most covered song in existence, Yesterday. Which is a belting bit of song writing.

It's probably a 7/10 for side 1 and 5 /10 for side 2.

6/10

It's not often I listen to The Beatles, but when I do I can't help but marvel of how good they were. Some absolute nuggets on here with just a couple of duffers. Even the duffers are far better than most of the albums we've had so far...it's an 8 for me.
