Allardyce leaves job after Telegraph sting

I wonder if Roy will be accused (with some evidence) of promoting only those players he made money from.

The man who picked players who joined the same agency as him, surely not...?

Should be interesting this. I'll bet nobody had BFS down as a (former) premier league manager to win the sack race.

Nothing to add that already hasn't been posted already. He's a proper greedy dickhead to be having meetings with these so called "businessmen" have none of them learned from the Sven Goran Erikksen sheikh-down?
Why tell people like this the insider tricks of the trade?
England fuckin manager.... sigh

It's more like why would people pay 400 grand to learn stuff that you can find out for free on Google. Obviously they did this as a sting but no doubt this is the going rate.

Cannot understand people criticising him for being naive and unguarded. The 'sport' is awash with money, presumably much of it tainted, and such large sums are likely to attract the unprincipled, sadly. The DT is a sting, but how many other meetings has Allardyce had with similar 'genuine' parties? Some people in the game clearly see themselves as operating outside the rules of the game and above the law, and we should not confuse this with tax evasion/aversion; these people are knowingly seeking to break the rules. If there are no repercussions for Allardyce, the FA will look even weaker, and it will send out the signal that it practically accepts such behaviour.

A good question for the FA would be to state how many times Allardyce has asked a potential deal to be ratified and the names of the parties involved.

If these sums of money were channeled properly, it could help produce better players at all levels. It might even fund individual psychologists for the top players...
