We fluked a goal. They had a few shots on target, hit the woodwork and should have scored a couple in the last 5 minutes.

AND THAT WAS WIGAN, not Barcelona.

Being "tired" is no excuse. It was a dismal style of play, dismal performance and dismal tactics. We fluked the win, tactical genius it was not.

This is the point I was trying to get across. We have a really tough next 3 premier league games Chelsea, sunderland, liverpool and spurs. If we play anywhere near like we did today we are gunna get spanked. But hell we will probably just park the bus against 3 of those teams anyway.

The second half was the worst we have played at home all season.

Wigan were unlucky not to get at least a draw.

We are clearly tired and now it's time to play a weakened team in Kiev and go for it next Sunday. I would even go as far as leaving zab, richards, kompany,Tevez,silva,barry,balo and yaya at home.

Anyone else feel like we are one of the most boring teams? Jesus I have never before almost fell asleep watching City before but when we have 3 defensive midfielders in the game and sit on one point leads its hard to watch. I miss exciting fun football. Not this drab Italian style football where you try not to lose more than you do to win. Anyone else feel the same?

Good point, and humble apologies. Hadn't properly read the post to which you were referring to.

Do you really think that if we hadn't scored that goal, we would have played the rest of the game out the same way? How do you know we wouldn't have ended up with Dzeko, Balo, Tevez and Silva on for the last 20 min. going all out to get a goal? I don't care that we were defensive, we won and that's the name of the game. It's not rocket science to understand that when we are passing the ball around, sideways and backwards, that we are trying to get the opposition to loose their shape and therefore create an opening. We can't just run into 11 defenders and expect to score.
