Altercation at Terminal 2

True and ordinarily this would be correct.

However the police officer involved was hit multiple times in the head and was very unsteady on the floor and when standing. He seemed concussed.

This will be used in his mitigation. He himself and two other women officers were beaten by a guy that looked like he had trained how to fight. He'll say either he wanted him to stay down or he wasn't thinking straight given what happened.
and he'll be well with his rights to say that

The root cause appears to have been an altercation between members of the public. It would seem that (a) the police in attendance maybe could have handled it better and (b) two people completely lost it.
The root cause was the altercation from the members of the public. If they weren't violent then there wouldn't have been an issue. It didn't warrant violence. It's weird how most of us pass through airports without issues.

I’m going to stay out of this topic now because it’s like talking to a brick wall. It’s insane people can’t see what we see.

Hope the copper gets promotion and cleared of any charges he shouldn’t have to face.

exactly this, it was always going to be a major situation that warranted the coppers response. I'm surprise a lot of people have fell for it including the BBC, ITV et al they have a lot to answer for now

A thought that suddenly occurred to me when I read a post that said something about no one having knives in the airport.
The people were picking up someone off a flight and had obviously parked up.
Therefore they had not been searched/x-rayed or anything so how would anyone know what they were carrying?

Sorry I guess I am just being Devil’s advocate as I do NOT know what happened and have no intention of commenting on either side other than the above thought.

They were terminal side weren’t they? And apparently there was an altercation on a flight preceding it too.
