Alternative striker options

Aubameyang seems like a potentially nice fit but by all accounts, he seems to be a bit of a hothead. Speaking of hotheads, get Tevez in until the end of the season.

Apparently Auba is causing huge trouble at Dortmund that's why they want to get rid of him. Turning up for training late, going out, missing team briefings etc. To sum his behaviour up...

Zorc < Sporting Director.

Yep, not everyone can remain level headed and professional when all that money and fame comes your way. Aubameyang is a no go.

Nail on the head. I am with you 100%.

Its all about perspective. Fans can't get past what we have done this season, but we will never reach these heights again, it's never been done before in premier league history.
I disagree. I think the lads are just beginning to take it all in. Imagine a more reliable defense, possibly upgrade or at least support up top, more efficient dependable engine in the middle (DM) and Mendy at 100%

In Much the same way as the Sanchez saga is currently playing out, didn’t we enquire about Aubameyang (Pre Mbappe) but pulled the plug when his agent started to demand silly money, both for himself & his client, before agreeing to sign?

Play 1 or 2 less experience players in the league to unburden Sane for the champions league, there we go, Sanchez not needed. He would have been nice, but there are ways to manage the squad depth without him.

What about steptoe as a stop gap?

I'm very much of that thinking. We certainly need a forward who will run more. I think yesterday's defeat was not because Liverpool played better but rather their front line, unlike ours, pestered the opposing defenders into mistakes.

Sergio is still a good player with the ball at his feet and a great finisher with a ball fed through to him, he is however absolutely non existent at pressuring defenders. The home game against Spurs when the game changed when he was replaced by Jesus is the best example of this benefit of having a guy who is a chaser up front.

You're spot on,i very much agree.

Sergio either lacks the motivation or simply doesn't have the ability/speed to put defenders under pressure which in turn creates more work for our midfield. We definitely need a player up front that is willing to run through brick walls.

What do you think ?

Griezmann would make sense.
£88.5m + around £13m p/a
5 year deal would = £20m p/a

Think it'd be a longshot tho. Both Real and Barca would be ahead of us.

If he was to end up at Barca, Suarez may be gettable. Barca can't spend all this money without some sales and 1 of Coutinho,Dembele,Griezmann,Suarez would be on the bench every game.

I think it would be a mistake to wait until the summer if we're letting Sanchez go to United. Gabriel is injured and wasn't in the best goalscoring form, Leroy needs someone to rotate with and Sergio is borderline useless in this system.

We need to improve ourselves while we're ahead.

I think Andre Ayew is not bad back up

He is skillful strong player, but I am not sure if West ham will accept anything below 30m
