Alvarez done deal - £82m to Atletico

What about intercepting the guy from Girona going to Roma? Scored a load of goals last season?
well, we can't have any deals with girona till the next year of september anyway, and basically he is like a erling type of striker, don't need 2 same profiles. i would want us to go for somebody who is versatile and could drop deeper, because we all know alvarez is never a midfielder nor a winger, so i would love a versatile type of striker

A versatile attacking player is still competing with De Bruyne, Foden, and maybe in a year or even earlier Bobb.It would be really difficult to replace Alvarez,a situation best avoided if at all possible IMO. Think Bobb's potential is being under estimated,he looks like the real deal to me so far.

Yeah Oscar has really shown his talent this pre season but its alot to burden him with straight away?

Why? If the player has a release clause like he has theres no reason that we cant activate it like any other transfer? Loans i understand are a problem but not permanent transfers at a contracted release clause amount?

I'm almost kicking myself for saying this. It's not how the club operate and the player is just not the right profile...currently. Joao Felix loan might make a bit of sense if Alvarez does leave. Young enough to figure out if he's still able to kick a ball, no real level of commitment to worry that much about game time. Fills various positions.

Still feels dirty saying it though.

Olmo/Musiala if and when Alvarez leaves.

UEFA said that in both instances, the respective clubs “will not transfer players to each other, whether permanently or on loan, directly or indirectly, from July 2024 until September 2025, with the exception of pre-existing transfer agreements”.

It is, but this season while we have KDB,Foden, for the 10, Savio, Doku, as well as Bernardo,Grealish for wide positions there is no burden but are plenty of rotation options without restricting his minutes and progress too much. We need tobe carefull with him and let him follow the Foden path and not think he needs the Palmer path.
My view is, allow Foden to replace KDB, and allow Bobb to have the chance to take up what was Fodens role in the squad over the last few years.

Bobb has been incredible for us when called upon, He came on as a substitute a fair few times last season and also got his start against Brentford at home, He never looks out of place.

I think we've all been watching Bobb in pre-season, It's at a stage now were I'm more looking forward to watching Oscar Bobb than I am City in general.

Personally I think he has to be playing games, Not only playing games but he should be a regular starter on wide right, He's 21 years of age, There's players around now that have 100+ first team games under their belt at that age.

I'd love to see Oscar Bobb starting wide right and dropping Bernie back alongside Rodri next season.

This is his time to shine.
