... do you agree that, even though we're not in next season's Champions League, we're still much more appealing as a club to potential transfer targets than Spurs. I totally agree with Bobby that it would be a "BIG mistake" to turn City down based on no Champions League football for now.

Our progress is there for all to see and it's only a matter of time before we win the Premier League if we stay on the current path. Who knows, it could eve happen next season. Can't honestly say the same about Spurs.

Or like I said ... am I kidding myself?

no great players want to play in the europa league though, i think at the moment, the only appealing factor to the big players is the wages we can pay

Not sure if we're more appealing than Spurs now, but we will attract top names, for sure. Twitcher likes his squad so i don't expect them to go and blow a load of money on big names, perhaps 1 or 2 yes, but not loads. That leaves us with a decent selection too. Make no mistake though, players will be coming for the money primarily, but with the knowledge its more than likely we'll get to the CL next year. I expect us to spend £100m this summer, and sell some shit too.

I want Bridge, SWP, Toure, RSC, Petrov, Bojinov, Ireland off the wage bill for starters, and some of the dead wood too. Expect the SSN 'Man City transfers in/out' page to be about 7 long.

I disagree. If a player is looking only 1 year ahead it would be Spurs, if they're looking long term we are the better option football wise.

Or put it this way, would I rather be 5th with our resources and plans, or 4th with there's, looking long term I do think we're in a stronger position (although Spurs have a lot to offer). Thing is, a lot of footballers can't see beyond the next season so we might miss out on one or two.
