It was 6/10. He was ok. Thats it. It all got a bit blokey and sportsmans/gentlemans evenings arent always my bag.

At one of our away games at Norwich a few years ago and I was chatting to half a dozen Spurs fans who were staying the night all suited up.Couldn’t think of anything worse, a horrible waster and an alcoholic wife beater to boot. They were proper fucked off as Gazza had a sportsman's dinner down there but he'd cancelled early afternoon as he was off his face.
Very good player in his day but it wasn't often enough to be deemed anything like a great. Scorer a lovely goal against the Scots.
Pampered too by the media which didn't help him & should have been sent off while on the stretcher at that FAC semi.
Had immense talent but failed to deliver consistently or long enough to be considered a great player. Can real off a number who you could argue were as talented but again failed to fully deliver on the promise , Kinkladze being one , Paulo Futre (who did actually win things), George Best (went to see him play as a kid but he never turned up). Think as a country we also missed out on exploiting the talents of Hoddle and Le Tissier at international level. Much prefer those who maxed out what they had , Keegan being an example , Kane another. Just hope Foden , Saka and Bellingham stay focused on the football.

I thought Le Tissier did play for England, or was it just the B team?
He did get capped but less than double figures. Ironically it was Hoddle who last looked at him and dropped him from the world cup squad after he had hit a hat trick for the B team. He was incredibly laid back and maybe just lacked a bit of fire in his belly. Doubt he ever got nervous about a game which is why he was so good at penalties, or maybe they both had a conversation and could not decide who had the strangest views.I thought Le Tissier did play for England, or was it just the B team?
