Ancelotti Sacked!!! Official...................

Can Lampard handle being on the bench for large stretches? I have no idea as I don't follow Chelsea.

I still think you should get what you can for Terry as I don't think he's got much longer at the top level.

Next season Chelsea could well struggle. Look at the players that will be on African Cup duty potential there is Mikel , Essien , Kalou and Drogba all vital members of there squad. Add into the mix the aging Lampard , Terry , Cole , Malouda and Anelka whoever takes over will need time to rebuild the whole squad. A lot of those players were a part of the Mourhino team. It wouldnt shock me next season IF City were to finish ahead of Chelsea next season.
Mikel isn't a vital player, he's a squad player. Essien may be sold to AC Milan, his form has been woeful so if a good bid comes in it may happen. Anelka and Malouda are sure to be sold. Drogba is likely to go to Real or back to France but nobody is sure.

Next season you'll be looking at a largely new team. Terry still has it, I can see Lampard becoming a squad big game player and Cole is fine (played every match this season).

What's the latest your end with referance to Boswinga?

I know Bayern have been in for him in the past and Juve have shown an interest of late

I'd like to think he'll adapt to it. Its pretty clear that he's struggling being a regular starter every week now.

Terry has been consistently excellent through the entire season and the leadership he brings is invaluable. His only issue is what little pace he had to begin with has gone so he need an agile CB partner which we have in Luiz and Alex. If we put Ivanovich and Terry together at the back these days, fast strikers will punish them severely.

Edit to answer Danamy:

I hope to God he goes, complete waste of time having him on the books.

Yeah, Bosingwa is... well... get rid is all I can say.

I think you're best CB pairing might be Ivanovic and Luiz with Alex slotting in when necessary. But as I said, I'm not a Chelsea expert.

Only time will tell. If your saying that whoever comes in to take over is going to get rid of all those players named I think your way off the mark. I think any new manager would hold onto all of the players you think will be sold. Experience is key and all those players has loads of it. A new manager will want to put there mark onto the team but if they can get 1 good season out of Drogba you have a real good chance next season. It will be his swansong in England. Anelka will score goals as always, Malouda started last season on fire.

While your there. With the academy players on the verge of a breaking into the team Josh McEachran and Kakuta may well break into the main squad but are they good enough for this level? Also Conor Clifford the young Irish lad looks a decent prospect seen him play for U21s over here and if he progresses on he could be a decent player. Lampard is key for these younger midfielders they will learn a lot from him in coming season or so.

I don't think the manager has much to do with it. Abramovich is going to clear these people out like he did with Ballack, Deco et al last summer. That was the beginning of our transition out of Mourinho's squad into whatever we're doing next and I think its the right time to do so. Malouda's stats are misleading, he is so wasteful and selfish its unbelievable - probably the most frustrating player we have at the moment.

As I said with Drogba, nobody is sure. No doubt in my mind that he still has it, but the question is will he be willing to play second fiddle to the new strikers. I personally doubt it.

A lot of our youth prospects have excellent potential and will one day make it in big teams but at the moment they're nowhere near ready for the prem. Josh for instance has done marvellously, but you can't expect an 18 year old to have the stamina to play in the Premier League on a weekly basis at the highest level. We were starting him in the champions league this season due to injury, shows how weak we left the squad after the clear out.

We've been told to expect around 5 new signings, that plus Luiz, Ramiers and Torres - you'll be looking at a very different Chelsea next season.

the same Josh who got completely taken out of the game by our young midfield in the recent 4-0 EDS drubbing we gave you?

5th of May. If I recall we had Josh in the CL knockouts and Prem bench around that time. Like I said, too much for an 18 year old to handle.

funnily enough i've seen when he has played and erm...not seen an awful lot.

promoting youth kids for the sake of it isn't the right way forward, you should have been blooding them 2/3 years ago instead of sticking with the same 15/16 for year after year.

I am not sure about Sturridge. He looks exactly the same as he did when at City, but I suppose that's inevitable - he's only just got regular football. Think Chelsea did the right thing in loaning him out - give him a chance at a good level and see what he can do. He will come back a more confident player, and the other \chelsa players and fans will have more confidence in him.

Still none the wiser about what's been going on at Chelsea this season.

1) Wilkins. Why did he go?

2) The Torres fiasco. Who selected him after his initial poor start, and continued to play him game after game when players like Anelka and Drogba were available? If this was Ancelotti's call then I think Abramovic was 100% right to sack him, but I have doubts that it was Carlo's call, because we had a similar issue with Sheva and Mourinho.

Malouda was incredible in the Double season. I wouldn't be so quick to let him go.

I think Chelsea will spend big in the Summer and it looks like they need to as a number of players are reaching the end of their careers eg Anelka, Drogba and Terry, but the manager is the key decision. Seems a certainty that they will go for Hiddink but is he available, and does he want it. Surely Abramovic has already been sounding people out.

Will top players sign for Chelsea without a manager?
