The sensible move for us would be to buy him this summer and then loan him back so he gets another full season of football to carry on developing. I coulnt agree more. I'd be sorry to see milner go and to give up on rodwell, but barkley looks like the real deal. Stood out like a sore thumb against us and not just the goal. The only issue I have with Barkley is that last season was his only season if top flight football and whilst he showed glimpes of brilliance, they only really happened on a once a month basis.
Unless we are willing to play him every week I don't see him developing into the player we want him to become.
I think Everton could get £40m for him based on potential but I don't see that rising too much from now until next summer, he would have to have a Luis Suarez or Yaya Toure type season to get that price to rise if you ask me.
To be honest I think we might see a second season loss of form from him next season just as we have seen with plenty of young players with him coming back better the season after next, but we will see.
I think him and Pogba will be our biggest targets next summer.
