With regards to selling Milner or making Milner part of any deal for Barkley

Milner is incredibly versatile, LM, RM, backup RB, even CM to an extent. He is also part of Pellers policy of having 2 for every position.

We don't need Richards, Guidetti, Sinclair, Garcia (b/c we need to offload one foreign player). If we let Rodwell go, we will have 3 CMs for 2 positions. If we further let Milner go, we would have 3 wide players (Silva, Nasri, Navas) for 2 positions. I am counting Jovetic as Aguero back for withdrawn striker position.

That means that if we sell both Milner and Rodwell and get Barkely, we would have 4 CMs but no cover out wide.

I don't see Milner and Rodwell both leaving unless we sign 2 players, a wide man and a CM

If we keep Richards Milner to see out their contracts and Rodwell I reckon we will have the perfect squad but need to lose 1 foreign player as far as Prem league is concerned and we will have to have 2 less foreign players in CL squad. I will leave that for someone else to work out how we achieve that.

I don't see what the big flap with this window is...we may be hamstrung by the limit on our spending but surely that is for the WHOLE year which includes the January window...so if it was up to me I'd get him in and worry about selling the rest later...don't we get also get loan fees for Zuculini and Lopes as well??

The problem though is actually getting shut of these players at the right price, we've always struggled and once again clubs will leave it until the last minute before trying to low ball us.

I reckon that's why we're probably trying to put together this deal for Barkley, including Rodwell and Milner and cash.

Barkley has so much potential, if he lives up to this potential then he's worth every penny, risk well worth taking imo
