I think nasty will stay and rekik will go.
I just think if Rekik was going to go then he would have gone by now.

Hasn't looked dreadful in pre-season, home grown. Seems to have a fairly good attitude, always looks like he'd fight for a place.
Obviously I'm not saying he's what we're looking for in the first team, but maybe the best of the 'deadwood'.

Not sure now what we can expect. Obviously Mangala is more or less done after whatever technical itch there has been. We do need to off-load though. The names of those have been thrown out already and I agree with the majority. We have too many numbers now, I think we have bought very well this summer but the transfer windown we had trying to defend our title is haunting us right now. That was a shocking window. Garcia is under a proper threat here, I can only think he goes because there is every chance he doesn't make any squad submissions. Shame for the lad, hopefully we can get him pastures new and off our books.
Moving forwards, I think we need to start looking at getting some of these academy kids through. A lot are either not making it or being loaned out. If you're good enough your old enough. We have just spent £30 million on a centre half that was certainly needed, you'd have to ask though why the Rekiks of this world are being farmed out. We will fix this with the new academy hopefully, that way we settle ourselves with FFP.
We have a very strong squad now, a young one as well that will carry us into the next 5 years. Yaya will need replacing first. I hope by the time this current crop has ran it's last race we have got our ship together and getting things done in house. With maybe just one marquee signing each summer.
Average age will go up again when Richards, Rodwell, Sinclair, Garcia, Rekik, Zuculini and Guidetti move outCobwebcat said:proy said:Never had a problem with TH. Plenty seem to have nothing better to do than discuss my mental make-up, vices and negative impact on the wider internet, in general, judging by the number of pages these last few days?
I do feel it is best, however, that I don't instigate one of these threads, in future, just post as and where I feel it might be relevant or of interest?
It would reduce the amount of in-fighting, and not be a one-stop shop for putting myself out there, and all that may entail, good and bad.
Faceless internet or not, it is sometimes taken to heart, but that's just the guy I am. Can't change that and perhaps it is because I do have faith in what I am posting that it becomes a little personal for me.
Lampard's signing should perhaps be a decent illustration of just how quickly things can move in this game, even if Soriano had stated there would be no more after Mangala?
cheers for now.
fuck em tolm.
luckily the bell ends are well outnumbered.
have a good time.
