And so it begins...

I ain't got involved in any slagging off,(for a change).but this is what TH does and generally says every summer, every transfer window

Agreed it was always going to finish this way like TH does every summer ...

Wonder if Scott Sinclair could stay and play the odd cup game.

Hasn't looked dreadful in pre-season, home grown. Seems to have a fairly good attitude, always looks like he'd fight for a place.

Obviously I'm not saying he's what we're looking for in the first team, but maybe the best of the 'deadwood'.

I expect Nastasic, Garcia, Richards and Rodwell to leave, Zuculini to leave on loan.

I think nasty will stay and rekik will go.

I just think if Rekik was going to go then he would have gone by now.

Agreed. If it was going to be Rekik I don't think we would have given him the 19 shirt. Also he will be Academy trained if he stays past 21. Nastastic won't. I don't know enough to say which has the brighter future....but if the folks making decisions value them equally than Nastastic is the one to go IMO. I am talking sales....I do think a Rekik loan is possible.

Exactly my thoughts.Of the 'surplus' he probably offers the most,he shouldn't ever go near a penalty again though(but before Micah...)

I like Sinclair think he has had a very hard 2 seasons with us, the first year he clearly wasn't Mancini's choice and barely featured because of that and the second he was farmed out on loan and the manager that brought him in was sacked and the new manger wasn't a fan. He offers a similar threat as Navas if Manny could sort out his crossing, finishing and decision making there is no reason he couldn't become a useful player for us but as it stands he isn't at our level. Although I do believe we need a pacey direct threat to play on the left to break down certain teams and Sinclair has it in his locker plus the fact he is English, if he ever managed to recapture his Swansea form he could be a solid player to have on the bench.

Never had a problem with TH. He keeps this forum ticking over the summer time. I've never had a bad word really, I enjoy reading it. I have my opinion, be the stories truth or fiction, but I'll keep that to myself.

Not sure now what we can expect. Obviously Mangala is more or less done after whatever technical itch there has been. We do need to off-load though. The names of those have been thrown out already and I agree with the majority. We have too many numbers now, I think we have bought very well this summer but the transfer windown we had trying to defend our title is haunting us right now. That was a shocking window. Garcia is under a proper threat here, I can only think he goes because there is every chance he doesn't make any squad submissions. Shame for the lad, hopefully we can get him pastures new and off our books.

Moving forwards, I think we need to start looking at getting some of these academy kids through. A lot are either not making it or being loaned out. If you're good enough your old enough. We have just spent £30 million on a centre half that was certainly needed, you'd have to ask though why the Rekiks of this world are being farmed out. We will fix this with the new academy hopefully, that way we settle ourselves with FFP.

We have a very strong squad now, a young one as well that will carry us into the next 5 years. Yaya will need replacing first. I hope by the time this current crop has ran it's last race we have got our ship together and getting things done in house. With maybe just one marquee signing each summer.

Average age will go up again when Richards, Rodwell, Sinclair, Garcia, Rekik, Zuculini and Guidetti move out

Would be very sorry to see Nastasic go... I think he'd be worth loaning out at the very least, given that MDM isn't getting any younger...

I go away on hols tomorrow, so my last post for a couple weeks, anyhow.

Plenty seem to have nothing better to do than discuss my mental make-up, vices and negative impact on the wider internet, in general, judging by the number of pages these last few days?

I do feel it is best, however, that I don't instigate one of these threads, in future, just post as and where I feel it might be relevant or of interest?

It would reduce the amount of in-fighting, and not be a one-stop shop for putting myself out there, and all that may entail, good and bad.

Faceless internet or not, it is sometimes taken to heart, but that's just the guy I am. Can't change that and perhaps it is because I do have faith in what I am posting that it becomes a little personal for me.

Lampard's signing should perhaps be a decent illustration of just how quickly things can move in this game, even if Soriano had stated there would be no more after Mangala?

cheers for now.

fuck em tolm.

luckily the bell ends are well outnumbered.

have a good time.

I have not seen any 'bell ends' just people quite rightly in my opinion expressing doubts over the validity of the information posted and the manner in which it is posted. Why this is considered an attack upon the poster is beyond me. For a moderator to use such an intolerant phrase and adopt such an intolerant attitude, one has to wonder why TH is being so protected from any form of doubt.

Are we not allowed to point out that in our opinion much of the information posted has been common knowledge, freely available and the rest 'the spectacular stuff' (Barkley, Isco, etc) appears to have little or no substance. Are we not right to caution 'read with scepticism' and time and time again the information has proved unreliable, without a witch hunt being started. Are only believers allow to post and comment, seemingly supported by site Moderator(s)? Some of THs claims of 'success' are at best dubious.

You only have to read this thread for a short while to find some cringe worthy fawning posts to see how 'bought in' some people are and how disappointed they are when the biggy predicted does not happen.

Perhaps TH should only post more solid info in future, deals that are near done and not fledgling speculative deals barely at inception. I have no clue who TH is but it does seem to me he gets far more wrong than right. Perhaps it is all about keeping figures up on Bluemoon for advertising revenues, who knows.

No doubt I will get a bollocking for this but if you cannot stand free speech, deal with it.
