Wishful thinking...we sell rodwell 10m Garcia 8m and Richards, Gudetti and Sinclair for around 12m, there's the money for Reus in jan when the buyout clause kicks in. Wouldn't be suprised if bayern have already tapped him up though, knuts for it they are.

So in your opinion garcia who did a decent job for us and was an injury-free player(maybe 1-2 litlle injuries) is worthing LESS money than a player who can't play 3 games in a row because he si a crock..????? this place don't stop to shock me sometimes but people on here who are saiyng garcia worth less than rodwell are taking the piss 100%
Fuck me ,was thinking that myself. In the Rodwell market Garcia would be twice as much !

Javi Garcia is a well respected and thoroughly decent professional. He was a rock for Benfica, and is in his prime.

Players like Robert Snodgrass and Jake Livermore and costing best part of £8 million a player with vast European experience and on the verge of the Spanish national squad is worth £10 million.

He's in no need to go, we don't really need to sell, the manager likes and trusts him. It's not like he part of a fire sale. He's worth what we paid in my opinion.
I agree,no fuckin way would I sell him on the cheap !

Except, we do need to sell. 18 foreigners we have when Mangala signs. Garcia is the most likely foreigner to be sold.

With the 10 Million from Rodwell, if we somehow manage to move Garcia, Richards, Guidetti and Nastasic on, could we maybe dip back into the transfer market?

Isco :)

Leaves us once again with 1 too many foreigners for the PL, and 2 too many for the CL. I think any more signings would have to be homegrown, and I can't think of any available players that would improve us.

I doubt it mate, we already have to move a foreigner on to get Mangala registered so the same will apply to anybody else coming in so who else will move on? I only see Garcia being moved on to get Mangala in.

If we can make £25m-£30m in sales this summer making our net spend this window of around £20m-£25m I think that will be deemed a decent transfer window.

We have updated our squad in positions we needed to so now is the the time to get down to business.

Just suppose for one moment that we didn't have 49m to spend on transfers in the first place, assume we only had say 20m. We have brought in Sagna and Fernando total 12m, we got 2.5m for Barry so in effect this outgoing means we have to all intents and purpose broke even. Then we spent 6m on Williy Suppose the delay is while we raise the next 18m, making the 32m needed. Not saying this is right but it could be a possibility in the delay.

Thank you guys for your help with my question on homegrown quota. Very much appreciated.
