And so it begins...

Only a Person who Risks is Free

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach for another is to risk involvement.
To expose your ideas, your dreams,
before a crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To believe is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken, because the
greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The people who risk nothing, do nothing,
have nothing, are nothing.
They may avoid suffering and sorrow,
but they cannot learn, feel, change,
grow, love, live.
Chained by their attitudes they are slaves;
they have forfeited their freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.

"To laugh is to risk appearing the fool,
To weep is to risk being called sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk showing your true self.
To place your ideas and your dreams before the crowd is to risk being called naive.
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To live is to risk dying,
To hope is to risk despair,
To try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken, because the greatest risk in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love.
Chained by his certitude, he is a slave; he has forfeited his freedom.
Only the person who risks is truly free."

Any truth in the Barkely rumours Tolm? or is it just press gossip?

Some truth. It was a leak from the camp of one of our existing players...I will leave it to others to join the dots;)

I have major doubts it's a deal for this summer, though.

There is a theory knocking around we could be trying to box Barkley off and allow him to stay at Everton until next summer.

Exactly what we need to be doing. Make him ours effectively on loan at Everton for another full season of football under Martinez.

Traffic running a bit low on BM then ;)

After an 18 month hiatus, Ric has once again relinquished the Blue Moon Harvester platinum card.

It's Fray Bentos and my 40th birthday this Wednesday.

Surely the ultimate gift?

Don't worry Tolm 40 is the new 30 as they say, or as my wise old dad used to say 'old age is always 15 years older than what you actually are!'

ps

Happy birthday for Wednesday!

Finally something worth looking at in the transfer forum :-)
