And so it begins...

Oxlade would be a great signing, but i cant see them wanting to leave Arsenal as they seem happy there.

Yaya seemed deliriously happy here when he lifted the Prem Trophy just ermmm oh yes, 8 weeks ago!!

Perhaps, just perhaps there aren't any surprises this summer.

If we have about £30m - £40m left after sales then thats our CB preference sorted and the cheque book is put away for anything other than youth prospects.

And TBH a GK, CB, RB, MF were our priority were they not?
Don't come on here talking sense, we are after most of Europes elite, aren't we?

I'm sorry. I wont do it again.

I personally expect Yaya to be given an extended leave of absence - perhaps not coming back until November.

We cannot discount the strain he has been under in the last few months and though he made himself look rather silly that may well be a symptom and not the issue.

He's 31, we really don't have much more time to be pandering to his temper tantrums. I'd run him into the ground this season and call it a day when our spending cap is lifted next summer, because you know we'll be right back to square one with him when that transfer window rolls around anyway.

Whatever it is that's been going on with yaya,I personally think it's been going on a lot longer than since all the birthday bollocks came out.
Have a look at his celebration when he scored at palace,to me he seems pissed off with summat, then shoves Milner out of the way.I can't remember the other game, but he scores and dzeko is first over to him and he does the same, just shoves him out of the way.I noticed it a few times towards the end of the season.Maybe it's just me,or has anyone else noticed it?
I personally think he'll go and I'll be gob smacked if we ain't got a replacement lined up.

He`s a prima dona and believes the world owes him something.

Haha. Extended leave of absence?

Think you need to put the crack pipe down mate. Yaya will be getting a fine when he returns to the club just as Tevez did after his public outbursts against the club.

I kind of agree with you that after the incomings of Sagna, Fernando, Willy, and a CB, the cheque book will close. But only if the rest of the squad remains intact.

The unknown is Milner's situation. If he leaves we'll have to go into the market again. Same with Yaya or Negredo.

Most likely is Jimmy out and someone like Di Maria in.

I think you need to put your own crack pipe down fella.

The above is about as likely as us buying a Kangaroo and putting that on the wing.

I take it the nuances of the English language escape you.

I've made the relevant bits extra big so you can clue yourself in. Milner's got a year left on his contract and is desperate to leave. If he leaves he'll be replaced by another winger otherwise we will be short of players.

The problem would be, to sign a foreign centre-back *and* replace Milner with Di Maria, we'd have to sell two non-homegrown players. One would be Garcia, but who would the other be (keeping in mind Nastasic doesn't have to be registered for one more year)?

The only way I could see us signing a Di Maria type is if Negredo or Jovetic left, which doesn't seem likely. If Milner left, it's hard to see a replacement because of the quota restrictions, which is why we should keep Milner until his contract expires if he doesn't want to renew. He's professional enough to give 100%.
