And so it begins...

Think we've got to strike while Barkleys iron is hot so to speak, another good season from him is only going to add more value on to him. Got to be worth the risk.....

Too risky having both Mangala and Barkley at the club this season.

He has turned down an offer from United to match the fee and package.
I'm sure Ogden and Ducker will constantly be reminding us of this in the months ahead.

Some things are more important than money. The lad clearly wants to win things ;).

+ Champions League Football !!

if we really wanted him this season is a way round it not paying say 15m upfront and another 20m once hes played 40 games meaning next season???????

Hmm maybe, Suppose Mangala has European and international experience behind him and Barkley has had a season in the Premier League where he has done really well. Be good to get them and get a decade in a sky blue shirt out of them!

Yup and it doesn't force us to sell Yaya and gives us more time to find a suitable replacement. Which it could be Barkley, depending on how he does in his second season.

We don't need Walcott or the Ox they play where Navas plays.

Yes, but even with Garcia going we need another overseas player out for the champions league squad.

Doesn't mean it's Navas he brings a different style of play to our game. Plus I don't rate the Ox or Walcott and they wouldn't be happy with the bench because that's where they'd find themselves quite often. Anyway Tolmie says it's Barkley which would be a good deal even tho I think he needs another year at Everton.

Glad I am wrong ! Barkley has to be the saviour of English Football. He just has to be otherwise we turn into Scotland. Going all "Rawk" for a second -; this kid will reach the stars with the quality we already have at the club driving him onwards and upwards.

Now then calculators out. I am rubbish at this I am always miles out !

Sinclair £2M
Barry £2M
Rodwell £7M ?
Micah £6M ?
Garcia £10M ?
Milner £14M ?
Nastasic £ 16M ?

I wouldn't give a small bag of belly button fluff for Sinclair!

No but talk is of nearer 10mil for Rodwell, on the other hand think 16 for Nastasic may be slightly high even so I don't think the total of those 7 would be far off £50 mill
