Andy Burnham

It must have been the most humiliating thing ever to loose out to Jeremy in the Labour leadership campaign.
One could never live it down.

Either her doesn’t belong in the Labour Party or the people he’s talking to don’t belong in the Conservative party.

Or perhaps both.

I think Burnham is quite prepared to work with the Tories for the good of Manchester, I give him credit for that, no point biting your nose off to spite your face.

It would be interesting to see what fringe meeting he was at, because not all fringe meetings are party controlled. The New Statesman has meeting at all the major political parties annual gatherings.

Rail Delivery Group.

Speaking on "The Northern Powerhouse"

I like him, like him a lot actually, minus that snide Everton retweet about us in 2016.

That said, I’m not sure he has enough to be PM. You put Blair on Question Time and he’d run the show and own the whole room. Burnham just seems to be a bit meh, when he’s speaking pubically. He’s almost just a people pleaser.

Now he has incredibly similar politics to me and I reckon I’d agree with him on almost anything we’d talk about but I’m just not sure he has enough about him to do it and to win.
