Agree it's about service to no.9 strikers. The service issue is the main reason Torres is having a nightmare at Chelsea.

On Carroll, if he was Foreign EVERY Fan of EVERY team in England would be raving about him. He's English so he's constantly criticised and any weakness picked up on instead of recognising his strengths. He's 21 years old and can improve massively but just accept he's a real talent that if he works hard and is dedicated can be one of the best. End of.
 
People need to stop basing their opinions on everything possible just based on one match... so annoying.
 
The problem with modern football is its all about the here and now. Commentators going ott and screaming about players being world beaters, radio presenters analysing every small detail of a game, journalists writing stories of blatant lies all in the name of football and to sell their own particular product. Too much is written far too soon.

Let Carroll prove his worth over a few seasons before he's hailed as the new Geoff Hurst or the new Garry Lineker or the new Alan Shearer.

Me too, i said we should take a tilt on this lad even before the Dips came in for him, England number 9 and a certain cult hero for years to come, pity it's not us that will be worshipping him, but 'we know fuk all' as we are just fans that have never played the game at Pro level.
