Thought he was playing in The States?

From a selfish point of view, I'm sad to see him leave. I thought he was an excellent commentator.

However, from Sky's point of view, there was no other choice but to sack him. He was obviously held in high regard by the top people there as we can see from his wage packet. Making unacceptable comments like that when you work in the public sphere and are required to be impartial in your analyses has left Sky with no other choice.

To me this sums up how ridiculous our country has become, fucking PC bollocks, thought we lived in a free speech society, it was a private conversation that just happens some cnut who has an agenda put out there, he has ultimately been sacked for his previous comments, but why wasn't this dealt with at the time? Did the woman involved complain? Lots of banter happens between men and woman in the workplace, Christ I think most men working with women would be sacked at some point in their careers if they were taped, the guy can't relax off camera when can he, the bit with the hand down the pants bit was been filmed for what reason? I'd be surprised if he knew the camera was on, otherwise I doubt very much he would have said it. Everyone seems to be glad he's been sacked but they should look past it been Andy Gray and the fact a man has lost his livelihood because of a witch hunt, maybe we should write in and get the cast of Loose Women all sacked if you've ever heard any of that shite during the day, then they would all be out of a job.
As for Sky, like some on here have said put on SSN at anytime and not be drawn to comment on the eye candy and what they are wearing, just make sure nobody hears you cause the PC police will be round. I'm not a fan of Gray or Keys before anyone says anything, but to me this is all bullshit and Gray sadly will not be touched with a barge pole for a long time, very much like Rodney Marsh and Ron Atkinson.

You know fine well we don't live in a "free speech" society.

Everyone knows the rules...

Bye bye Andy was sick of your anti city bollox and your manure Power wanking anyway shut the door on your way out. Every cloud and all that !

Can we stop using the phrase 'political correctness gone mad'. It's a pathetic phrase almost solely used by morons to justify their antiquated views.

Ridiculous sacking. PC gone mad. Gray was obviously not well liked by his colleagues but none of his comments were live on air or even meant for airing. Essentially they were private comments. The lineswoman was not offended, his female colleague does not appear to have complained so some self appointed moral guardian or vindictive tell tale has decided to stick the knife in. As others have already said sexual inuendo, from both sexes, has always gone on. It's part of life. Sometimes it goes too far but usually most people laugh it off. A warning is sufficient. It's a free world and no one should be able to tell us what to think.

You mean views that you do not agree with and therefore must be wrong? If women are our equals then let them retire the same time as us then, only equals when it suits, and god forbid anyone says this. I used to be in the RAF this sort of banter went on all the time and they gave just as good as they got, no one complained they got on with it and so did we made for a better working environment, now in my current employment you cannot relax or say what you want for fear of someone somewhere taking offence. Like I said before, did the woman who the comment was made against make a complaint, if not then it's got nothing to do with anyone else but the 2 parties involved.
